Steemit Engagement Challenge S3-W2|All About My Local Music
Hello everyone, i hope we are all doing good. It's really a privilege to be here once again, participating in the steemit engagement challenge, today i will be sharing my local music to the world but before then let me specially appreciate the community @hot.news for coming up with such beautiful contest.
One of the things I love so much in life is listing to music, I love singing with everything in me. It's gives me joy and it's always makes me to forget my worries at all times.
Music is an art of sounds that express emotions and ideas in a significant forms through the elements of melody, harmony, rhythm and colors.musics actually plays an important role in our daily lives because of its importance which includes;
- Boost memory
- It builds task endurance
- it reduces anxiety and depression
- It lighten our moods
- It's improve our response to pains
- It also help us to work out more effectively
What type of music is a characteristic of your country that is played or listened to a lot? Describe this.
In my country Nigeria, there are alot of music which are being played and listen to by the people, that's because we are blessed with so many musicians who sing beautiful songs in which the people love and enjoy so much, but one thing with my country is that songs are being released on daily basis as such each song has his own season and the time in which the people enjoy it the most expecially when it's new. Some of the popular music performed and enjoyed by the people of my country are:
- Afrobeat
- kwaito
- reggae
- highlife
- juju
- Gospel pop and rap
For this contest i will be telling you more about the Afrobeat music Because, it is the music in which my country people loves the most. Afrobeat which is also known as afropop is an urban popular music which was originated in my dear country Nigeria in the late 1960s, this music emphasize percussion rhythms and some features element of funk and jazz lyrics which are political. Some of the Characteristics of the Afrobeat are, big bands, complex jazzy rhythms and long instrumental solos.

One of the popular afrobeat music which is most played by the people of my country is Buga song by kiss Daniel and teckno. Since this song was released the words of the song buga has been tranding in Nigeria and people love listening and dancing to the music. Buga is actually a Yoroba word meaning (flaunt or to display once efforts, archivement and success) the song is encouraging everyone to celebrate him or her self because life is actually full of so many ups and downs.

Explain the beauty of this music and the reason why this music can attract visitors to listen to it?
The Afrobeat music is one of the best and the favorite in my country Nigeria because, of its characteristics which i mentioned earlier, the combination of the rythm, sound and the long instrument are so unique and beautiful, also it design a dancing steps that Spurs confidence to the people.Afrobeat music can attract visitors because, it sounds alone can make someone forget his worries and start dancing to the tune 😁 Afrobeat always draws the attention of the people by speaking to their humanity, the sound of the music always sounds old and new at the same period of time.

- It is flexible
- It is energetic
- nonrepetitive
- Above all it is beautiful and unique
Are there any similarities between your local music and other parts of the world?
Of course, the Afrobeat are similar with other part of the world because some of the music's share the same characteristics which are the big bands, complex jazzy rhythms and long instrumental solos, also the dancing steps are also similar.
In conclusion music is very good for the brain because when we listing to pleasurable music our brains do release dopamine, which always makes us happy. Nigeria is a multicultural country, which makes it have a wide variety of musical rhythms.
