"If you look at the effective time for the construction of the venue, there are only 17 months left. Meanwhile, PON is planned to open on September 9, 2024. If construction doesn't start now, at the opening of PON, the stadium will not be completed," said Kamaruddin Abubakar.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chairman I of KONI Aceh Teuku Rayuan Sukma added, previously Menpora Zainuddin Amali who had now resigned promised to build two main stadium units. But so far no visible progress.

“This is something we deeply regret. Because if construction doesn't start now, it will be difficult to finish on time. Even worse, it looks like there is no construction of the place as promised,” said Rayuan.

"There is only stadium rehabilitation and sports building rehabilitation that is suitable for matches," said the former head of the Aceh Youth and Sports Agency.

For information, the Aceh-North Sumatra PON is the first PON in Indonesia to be held in two provinces. This is a new history in the world of sports in Indonesia. PON itself is planned to be opened by President Joko Widodo on September 9, 2024.
