There are two main tests to check kidney health that give reliable results. The first is the ACR (albumin-creatinine ratio), which is done through a urine test. If there is any protein in the urine in this test, it should be understood that the kidney is not doing its job properly. The second is the GFR (Glomerular Filtration Rate), which measures the function of the kidneys through the blood. High levels of creatinine in the blood are thought to mean that the kidneys are not able to remove waste products properly.

Also, after 60 years, these tests should be done at least twice a year, especially if there is a family history or if there are problems like diabetes and high blood pressure. These two tests give an accurate idea of the health of the kidneys and allow quick action in case of kidney problems.
