What was your favorite subject in elementary school as a child and why?
When I was in elementary school, my favorite subject was Computer. I liked it because within a week three days we had our class in the computer lab, and I enjoyed . In the lab, our teacher showed us how to use the computer, and we did practical work. I really liked watching and doing those activities.
Computer class was the one I enjoyed the most. Our computer teacher was very kind and friendly. She never got angry and always helped us when we dn’t understand something. She taught us with love, not like other teachers who were a bit strict.
I always did her homework firstt and never missed it. Even at home, I used to sit on the computer, play games, make drawings, and explore things. I was very interested in computers since childhood.
What was the biggest challenge in your educational career, and how did you overcome it?
To be honest, I didn’t face any big challenge in my early education. I was a bit careless about studies and used to do some naughty things too, but still I managed to get good marks. I never took studies to seriously, but I always passed and did fine.
But if I talk about one real challenge, it was when I reached class 9 and started studying Chemistry. It was the firstt time I saw a subject like that in my life. I found it very difficult. I didn’t like learning formulas and definitions. It was hard for me to undarstand and remember them.
Also, the Chemistry teacher was very strict, and I used to feel scared in her class. I always prayed she wouldn’t ask me anything because no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t memorize the lesson.
I had to work really hard for this subjject, but even in the final exam, my marks were low in Chemistry. That was the only subject that gave me real trouble in school.
Tell us about the impact of love on your university life.
Love can really affect our university life because this is a very important time in our life. In university, we are working hard to secure our future, build our career, and complete our degree. This is the time when we need to focus on learning skills and understanding our field properly.
After university, our professional life starts, so it’s important for me to manage this time carefully. Many students also do part time jobs or learn skills along with studies to prepare for the future. Just having a degree is not enough having practical skills is also very important.
If someone is in a relationship during university life, it can be difficult to manage both things. I’ve seen many students give more time to their love life instead of studies, and it affects their results. Also, we can’t always give enough time to our partner because we are busy with classes, assignments, and other responsibilities.
That’s why I believe it’s better to focus on university life first, complete your degree, and work on your career.
Which experience from your education has been most useful in your professional life?
Right now, my professional life hasn’t started yet because I’m still a final year student of BSIT. InshaAllah, by the end of this year, I will complete my degree and start my professional journey.
But I can share some experiences from my education and what I have learned by seeing my friends who are already working in their professional life. One thing I have realized is that in school, college, and even university, we mostly focus on cramming or just getting good grades. Many institutes just teach us how to pass exams but don’t help us learn real skills that we need in our job life.
In professional life, we need to understand our subject deeply, learn skills, and be able to explain things to others. Like in my degree, we need to learn different programming languages, know how to run them, and understand how to communicate well with others.
We were never taught these skills properly in school life. Now I feel we should have focused on learning skills and confidence from the beginning. Only getting good marks is not enough ... we should also work on improving communication skills, gaining practical knowledge, and building confidence.
If you could start studying again, what subject would you choose and why?
Yes, if I ever get a chance to start my education again from the beginning, especially from school life, then I would definitely choose to focus on the English subject.
The reason is that since childhood, I was never good at English. I always faced a lot of difficulties in understending it, and I used to get low marks in this subject. Also, our English teacher was very strict, so I never feeled comfortable or confident in that class. I didn’t give much attention to it at that time.
Even now, I can write English well because I worked hard on it later, but when it comes to speaking or communicating in English, I feel nervous and lack confidence. I feel like I might say something wrong, and that fear stops me from speaking.
That’s why, if I could go back, I would focus on building a strong English base from school. I would improve my grammar and work on my communication skills, so that I could speak confidently with others.
I’ve seen that English and good communication skills are very important in real life, especially for getting good jobs. Like one of my friends , her English and communication skills are really good, and because of that, she got a job as a Visa Consultant with a good salary. She communicates with people in English every day, and she’s very happy with her job.
But when I think about giving interviews or speaking in English, I feel scared because my speaking skills are weak. That’s why I truly wish I had worked on my English from the start.
That's it from today’s blog. I hope you liked it. With best wishes. Now I would like to invite:
