There used to be the same community you were referring to, that community was called Steem Sports. But this community looks inactive or maybe it has been completed, it would be interesting if a sports-focused community could develop well on Steemit. But it's not an easy job, it takes dedication and also seriousness to build a community. Overall you've created an interesting participation post, especially your idea of creating that community.
