I love music and dance- I love them all

India has diverse cultures with different languages, different cultures, different societies, and different ideas, but India as a single unit. It is difficult to define what “Indian” means and what it denotes. You can see the vibrant Indian musical culture found right in the mountains and forests in the snow-clad Himalayas, the cold desert of Ladakh, in the north to the shores of the Arabian Sea in the western part of India.

The Indian music range is so lively in Orrisa along Bay of Bengal in the east to Rajasthan, a combination of hills, lakes and deserts in the middle of India, along with Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar.

Here is my most favorite song that will give you an idea of our culture and diversity

And if you wish to see and listen the Indian music and dance culture, go to Gujarat, Goa, and Karnataka and enjoy a different but rich heritage of music.

There is a different type of music in every region of India. You cannot imagine the culture of India until you see the colorful festivals celebrated across India and the 1.4 billion population with different cultures.

Until you see over 80 tribes in Nagaland, Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura, Manipur and Mizoram in the North East of India, you will not even imagine what hides in this tribal area’ cultural with a population of only two million.

But all these are an intangible part of Indian culture. “Indian” is not just an adjective; it is the soul. India has such a wide range of music and dance that it would take a whole life to even count them.

Don't you think this music is similar to Portuguese, a touch of Spanish and a flavor of French music and steps?

For centuries, India is famous for its traditions and rich culture. The Aryan, Mughal, British, Chinese, Tibetan, Portuguese, French, and Spanish. They all added their culture to ancient Indian culture, and we accepted them all with open arms. Just name them and you will find them all. Everyone that came to India has added to Indian culture.

India assimilated various ideas and styles and yet remained a unique culture in its own right. Known as God’s own country, go to Kerala in the south and watch his dances. Visit Tamil Nadu, where three oceans meet at Kanyakumari: the Arabian, the Bay of Bengal, and the Indian Ocean, and experience the rich heritage of Indian dance and music.

Go to Bengal and witness the land of Nobel laureate poet Gurudev Rabindra Nath Tagore and its rich culture with Rabindra Sangeet and classical dances. The culture of each Indian region is described by its own cultural symbols, language, music, and dance forms that define the philosophy and lifestyle of that specific region.

You can see this all in our various music and dance forms, which inevitably reflect in Indian music and dance, with many languages and philosophies.

Undoubtedly, Indian culture has been influenced by global trends, yet we have a lot to offer to the world. Our traditions and historical heritage are true representatives of true Indian culture, which is spread across the globe, wherever Indians have gone in the world, and you can definitely feel their presence in every part of the world.

However, different regions of India have different cultural traditions. You might find it interesting, but there are similarities between these cultures, which help to make up an Indian culture. Indian music is an example of this. Indian music has taken a lot from the Aryans to fusion music of global Indians.

Indian classical music is recognized as the traditional signature of art from India. Indian classical music well represented the contemplative and spiritual essence of Indian culture, and strengthened. And it didn’t begin with Aryan music, it got influenced by Persian and southern cultures, thus dividing the music into two regions: Indian classical music and Carnatic music.

Four distinct dance forms, Kathakali, Odissi, Bharatanatyam, and Kathak, represent the unique and rich culture of India through classical dance forms. But not only these, we have many other as popular dance forms, both in classical and folk dance and musical categories and dance as a form of meditation, which means austerity, a practice.

Indian classical dance forms are regarded as forms of worship and mediation, as each step and form of presentation has a spiritual meaning.

I invite @imhaya, @princegbekei and @tarekabdullah to participate in this contest please.

From your write up, i see that one has to be very athletic to be able to dance the one from Goa. I think i will have to visit Goa sometime to taste of this beautiful culture and music. Thank you so much for sharing, hope you can dance it too😅

Thank you @majerius for dropping by and yes, inform me when you visit Goa because I haven't visited this place for a few decades now even if it is my home state. By the way, Portuguese used to rule this state until 1961. 👍

India is a country with a great cultural wealth and therefore musical.

I have always admired the way they dance to their rhythms, and how relaxing and calm their sounds are.

Dancing Goa requires a great physical effort, I hope one day to learn it.

Successes in the contest.

Thanks @yolvijrm, that's true and sometimes I feel how people in our country dance without any formal training. I am not as fortunate though but our younger generation is too good at this. I am sure you will learn this Spanish/Portuguese dancing style that we Goans dance soon.

They have a very nice style of music that allows for an attractive dance.

One time I saw a series, called the clone and the thing I liked the most was the music and makeup used by women.
Cheers
