to partake in the 5th edition of the Travel Contest. As an aspiring writer and a traveler, I'm here to grab this opportunity and share with you some snapshots of my travel adventures with my friends. On this week's contest we were give chance to share about the people we met while travelling but in my case I would like to share the people I'm always with I'm travelling.
They deserve to be the highlight of this blog because they are amazing people and great of friends. Shoutout to my bestfriends @monsiou,@edrickph80 and to my other chum Tikla who is still not part of the community yet but soon he'll join us. These people are my friends from 2014 up until now and these are the same people who I love to go travelling with.
Our friendship grew over the years from our trips and adventures to different places. We had experienced new things and forged our friendships together. When travelling by yourself, it can be very easy to find yourself doing very similar things in every place you visit but when I'm with my friends the experience is incredible and unpredictable! We laughed and talked a lot during our travels and of course the cost of the trip is much cheaper with people sharing.
The opportunity to see them in different angles is rare when you’re at home or moving through the city. When you we travel together, we begin to know a truer form of them!

Travelling With Friends Is The Best Thing In The World

Travelling with friends makes me feel safe and its like carrying a piece of home wherever I go. They are my family, the one that you love and the one that knows you better than your actual family. So whenever I travel with them, I tend to take a piece of home with me and I'm not alone.

I think this is a very good post for the contest "People you met while traveling".
I like traveling with friends and alone too, these are two different travel dishes in my opinion. You have explained well why so good to have friends during a travel - I agree with you.
But at the same time, friends are those who isolate you from the traveling experience. As you said, its like carrying a piece of home or, I can say, this is like having home as a bucket on your head - you are safe from bricks falling from above :) but you can't see and can't hear to the full extent :)
Solo travelers meet more people, other travelers and locals, their experience is often deeper. Local people prefer contacting solo travelers because this is always just easier to have one extra person, not a crowd. When you travel alone, you might join other people and you might find new friends.
As I said, both of ways are great. For example, in 2016, I came to Thailand with 2 friends and it was incredible - giggling, laughing, much fun, etc. In 2 months, I left them and went to Indonesia alone. Later I came back to meet them again.
But this is me, other people have different views and opinions, I respect it.

Actually I havent trìed solo backpacking and because of your explanation maybe soon I'll try because it sounds very exciting. Im actually open to challenges and maybe after this pandemic I'll go somewhere alone.
Good 🙂 It is quite cheap to go to neighbouring countries thanks to Airasia. In Vietnam, before covid, Vietnamese hired foreigners - hostels, cafes at resorts. I have a Filipino mate on FB, he worked at hostels there. So possible to have a bed and food and a tiny bit of extra money. Visa was easy ... But ... covid ... 🙁
