Hello! I am a local of Austria (but have been living in America for the last 21 years). I LOVE Hallstatt Austria, the gorgeous village so many people in the world are dreaming about.
If you dream of ever going to Hallstatt Austria, then PLEASE do not miss out on the gorgeous lake region called "Salzkammergut" just around it! As beautiful as Hallstatt Austria is, the towns of Bad Ischl, Bad Aussee, St.Wolfgang, Gosau, St.Gilgen, Gmunden are equally beautiful.
