share a recipe for one of Aceh's traditional foods, namely Timphan, Aceh timphan has many flavors of srikaya timphan, coconut timphan and durian timphan, and on this occasion I will share the recipe for Timphan Srikaya.
Timphan is also one of Aceh's special foods served during big day celebrations such as Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha or when making thanksgiving or other big events, usually timphan is very tasty when served with coffee or tea.
The Process Of Making Timphan Srikaya
ingredients For Making Timphan Dough
To make timphan dough the ingredients only need bananas and white glutinous rice flour, how to make it peel the bananas and continue to mash after that add enough flour so that the dough is not hard and not mushy and then knead the dough until it is smooth and not sticky in the hands.
Ingredients to Make Srikaya
- 7 chicken eggs
- Adjust the sugar according to the number of chicken eggs
- Vanillin Powder 3 pieces
- Pandan leaves to taste
- Just a little white glutinous flour
- Coconut cream
How to Make Selai Srikaya
Crack the egg and put it in a bowl
Prepare the granulated sugar which is equivalent to a bowl too, basically the granulated sugar must be the same as the eggs
Then add vanilla one by one
After that, beat all the ingredients until the eggs are white and foamy. You can use a mixer or blender to beat the eggs
Then blender pandan leaves and coconut, strain and pour into the egg mixture earlier
- After that add a little white glutinous flour into the dough
- After that cook on low heat the dough must always be stirred so as not to quickly clot.
How to make Timphan Srikaya
- Banana leaves to make timphan before placing the dough on top of the pisan leaves need to be given a little oil so that the timphan does not stick when it is cooked.
After being given oil on a banana leaf then take the dough and round it after that just thin it and add the srikaya .
After that, roll back the dough that has been given the srikaya jam until it is covered as in the picture so that the srikaya jam does not come out.
After all the dough is ready to be wrapped, then steam the timphan for 20 minutes until the timphan is cooked, after 20 minutes of steaming, the srikaya timphan is finally cooked, then remove and serve, the srikaya timphan can be enjoyed.

Ngomong-ngomong, terkait dengan varian rasa yang anda jelaskan di atas. Saya sangat menyukai rasa kelapa ketimbang rasa srikaya. Karena bagi saya Timphan rasa kelapa sangat manis dan tidak membuat saya enek. Namun keduanya sangat bagus untuk dicoba tergantung dari selera masing-masing.
Oiya untuk timphan rasa durian, saya sama sekali belum pernah mencobanya. Mungkin dilain kesempatan saya akan menikmatinya, atau bisa jadi timphan buatan anda. Hehe

Soal rasa itu sesuai selera ya, untuk saya sendiri saya lebih suka ke rasa timphan srikaya.
Untuk timphan durian saya hanya membuatnya sesekali saja jika musim durian tiba.
