Our Trip To Floating Cottages of Bantayan, Cordova! By @maris75

Let me share to you my travel escapade with my family. February 20, 2022 it's a 69th birthday of my father-in-law. Their siblings agreed to celebrate it in the beach in Bantayan, Cordova. This beach is popular recently due to its floating cottages in the middle of the sea. Many local tourists love to spend time here together with their families and friends. It is best for relaxing and refreshing and of course enjoying the clean sea water. In order to reach to the floating cottage we need to ride a boat.
On the departure area while waiting for others, we rest under the tent to avoid the heat of the sun. We can see there are many boats in the shoreline ready to accommodate the passengers going to the floating cottages.
It's a small boat that will carry only 5 passengers per trip. Every boat has a boatman. I just trust the boatman that he will bring us to the floating cottages safe. Here we goooo!
Though I'm a bit worried because I don't know how to swim. And my companion in the boat were all teens and kids but I tried to overcome it and let myself enjoy the trip. I enjoy watching many mangrove trees beside and the clean water.
Upon arriving the area, we can see the neighboring floating cottages. Every cottage's rent is worth 3,000 pesos or 15 SBD from morning until 5pm. Cut off time is 5:00pm, after that no more allowed to enter the area. This is to protect the safety of the beach goers because no electricity in the place.
It's swimming time!
Everyone is excited to do swimming specially the kids. The place is safe because there is a long bamboo bench around the the cottage which can be used to just sit and relax while enjoying the sea water. Or you can dive from there.
The event is not complete without blowing candle with a cake and singing a happy birthday song to the celebrant. The birthday celebrant was surprised by his gift a black hat with a money bills tied on it.
Everyone enjoyed specially the celebrant that his whole family were together in his special day. The time spent together with loved ones is all worth it.
