That afternoon, I and all my colleagues had planned long ago for a family gathering and vacation to one of the water tourism destinations, namely a white water rafting ride that was enough to test the adrenaline through the current of the Peusangan River in Lukup Badak, Takengon, Central Aceh, Indonesia.
The Gayo Adventure rafting ride, which is managed by the Gayo Nature Tourism Cooperative in collaboration with the Indonesia Rafting Federation - Central Aceh, is located about 7.5 kilometers from Takengon City Center.
When we arrived at the location, we immediately prepared to wade through the river. However, before starting, members of the Gayo Nature Tourism Cooperative first explained the rules of the game and safety procedures. Each rafting participant must wear complete equipment provided by the organizer. We rented 2 inflatable boats, each of which was filled by seven people.
When it started, the excitement of racing on the Peusangan River was felt because in addition to the swift current, there were various quite challenging obstacles. We also shouted incessantly to release all our fatigue while passing through various obstacles and river currents. Our enthusiasm is getting boosted.
When passing through several parts of the river, you also have to avoid tree branches that cover most of the river area, there is also a bridge that stretches across the river so that when we pass it we have to duck in a boat, in some parts of the river there are many large rocks and rapids which are quite deep.

This is the first experience as well as quite fun, while walking along the panoramic river which is presented with changing views such as rice fields, coffee plantations, palawija, to waterwheels. I think I want to come back here one day with my best friend.
