Hello, how are you all guys...

May we always be given health in carrying out all daily activities and happiness to be able to continue to share knowledge and experiences.

I hope all of you always have a nice day, and I feel very happy if all of you are willing to take the time to read my posts.

Climbing the mountain is one of the right choices for refreshing after struggling with all the busy work routines and dense urban routines in a country that is being hit by a pandemic. Sometimes we need alone time to feel the silence of the forest and the wild, to get rid of all the fatigue that exists, and why do we have to climb mountains? That's a question that until now I haven't found the answer, it feels like an opium that always flows in my body, mountains and wild nature always call to come back.

A team of 10 people with different backgrounds, activities and ages was formed and agreed to go on a weekend trip with the aim of climbing Mount Seulawah Agam.

Mount Seulawah Agam which is a tropical rainforest mountain, is an active volcano located in Seulimeum District and Seulawah Valley District, Aceh Besar District, Aceh Province, with an altitude of 1,800 meters above sea level located at coordinates 05°25′51″N, 95° 39 28″E.

After doing a series of preparations, we finally left for Mount Seulawah using a motorized vehicle from Lhokseumawe City. It takes about 5 hours to get to the foot of Mount Seulawah Agam or the jungle door of Mount Seulawah Agam. Due to the long journey we took from Lhokseumawe to the Forest Gate of the Seulawah Agam Mountains, we arrived here in the afternoon and it was almost dark. We decided to stay at the jungle door and would continue our trek to the summit the next day.

We began to share tasks, starting from setting up a tent, cooking food for dinner and looking for firewood to make a bonfire. We all work together according to our respective duties without overlapping and regardless of age and social status, but still respect and appreciate each other.

What's interesting is that in the team there is one person who is much older than us. Without reducing respect we can even call it old because it is already half a century. But He also has the same spirit as us. Young at heart, friendly and have a high leadership spirit. Several times we sometimes ask his opinion when making or making decisions, we call him uncle.

In the afternoon after dinner, we started to discuss while surrounding the bonfire to warm our bodies due to the cold mountain air accompanied by hot coffee and some snacks. The atmosphere is full of family nuances and warmth. We shared stories about each other's life experiences and plans for the future, as our parents on the team, uncle gave us motivation for the plans we had told before. It didn't feel like the night was getting late and we decided to rest, preparing our energy for climbing to the top the next day.

morning had arrived, the cool air that characterizes the mountains did make us reluctant to get out of the tent, but we didn't do that because the journey to the summit was still very far and we didn't want to waste time. we'd spend the night on the trails and make it to the top considering the team members weren't all the same age. who has excellent stamina so that the trip can be forced as quickly as possible.

After breakfast we started packing to continue our journey. As can be done before traveling to the top to pray together, asking for the safety and smoothness of this climb and to be kept away from all dangers, this joint prayer activity was led by uncle as an elder in this team.

The journey began, we began to pass a small river whose water is quite clear and can be drunk immediately, which is usually in this river the climbers take water for provisions during the trip because in front there is no other source, except water reservoirs made by climbers but the water conditions are not always clean.

After passing the river we began to enter the forest area that presents large trees overgrown with thick moss. The sound of gibbon primates echoed and the sound of birds chirping accompanied our journey, occasionally heard the sound of hornbills flapping their wings right above the hiking trail. Initially the trip went smoothly and normally although we often stopped to rest considering uncle's old age and we were also worried about his condition. Approaching the wind gate stop, uncle gave up and could no longer continue the journey, suddenly the members were surprised to hear that.

Finally we started negotiating and decided to take a lunch break here, even though the previous target was to have lunch at Wind Gate. After giving motivation, uncle was melted and excited to continue the journey. We then continued our journey, starting to pass through the wind gate and we arrived at the banyan seven. why is it called the seven banyan tree, because there are seven banyan trees the size of rice, although now some have fallen, here are some spots on this mountain. And we stopped to take pictures together at this spot.

We continued our journey again, after about a few hours of walking we started passing the elephant rock which is also a spot to take pictures here. The journey is getting closer to the top, it seems that uncle is getting more and more excited because he almost made it to the top. And finally after passing through a narrow rock gap we arrived at a monument or monument with the number P.137 which is the peak of Mount Seulawah Agam, an atmosphere of emotion enveloped us for our success.

The lesson that can be learned from this journey is to reach the top not only with strength but with strong passion and determination and motivation from team members, and this is proven by the success of uncle reaching the top of this mountain, because age is not a barrier.

But the ultimate goal of climbing is not to reach the top, but to return home safely and reunite with loved ones.

That's a short story that I can share in this post, I hope all friends like it and can be a motivation for all of us, because nothing is impossible as long as the determination is still there.

why do we have to climb mountains? That's a question that until now I haven't found the answer,

Some people just love the adventure. And conquering the mountain just makes them feel victorious
#travelers-say

But for me, climbing a mountain is conquering yourself, against all the limitations that exist within yourself.

It looks like that you and your friends had a lot of fun reaching the peak of the mountain. Very nice blog well done :)
