Wolf beans and dewdrops / #club100
Post goes for week 39 of Macro Photography Challenge, run by CCS community.
After rain I went out on a little 'macro hunt' for dewdrops, and returned home with profit. Plant named 'wolf beans' which you may be in the know, helped me in this mission.
Wolf beans is a weed plant, full of vitality and pretty well wide-spread in Europe area.
It is pretty photo-friendly during all of its life cycle - due to unique looking leaves (which form sort of a 'cradle'), and flowers combined in a compact tower.
Flowers can differ in color - pink, violet, orange, white - and in huge quantaties they make the landscape looking stunningly beautiful. Though I mentioned its a weed plant, technically speaking it is not: the roots of this plant enrich the soil with nitrogen; thus, this plant can be considered as useful too... in any case, it can benefit to the soil, so that it will “rest” and will be enriched with useful substances.
The post seems incomplete without an enticing photo of lupine fields, I didn’t show flowers of different colors, and I don’t have a photo of the beans at hand - the pods are covered with thick pile and also look photo-friendly! especially when they dry out, curl up and release seeds. Well, you can't have everything at once. It's May outside the window, and wolf beans will begin to bloom only in July. More stuff will follow, someday, in other posts. Wolf beans is an in-exhaustable topic for a macro photographer.
This dew drop impressed me like a gigantic yellow pearl.
Recently there was a macro competition held by @bambuka, where you had to guess the photographed object basing on cropped part of the image displayed. I wonder could you guess from this photo that I photographed a large dewdrop ?...
This is a small blooming tower; often they grow bigger.
I can’t resist taking a photo of this inviting dew sitting on lupine leaves each time I see it, even though I’ve already taken same photos dozen times.
