Cordiales saludos amigos de la macrofotografía, acá presente para la quinceava semana de este concurso en Camping Club Steemit. Sigo con el fantástico tema de insectos, hoy con una oruga, que aunque pequeña, en las fotos parece enorme.

Gracias a Google Lens, creo haber dado con su nombre científico, se trata de la oruga de una especie de polilla, llamada Lymire edwardsiiver [1]. Esta es una oruga que no llega a los 4 centímetros de largo, y es la fase larvaria de una polilla de hermoso color gris azulado.
Thanks to Google Lens, I think I have found its scientific name, it is the caterpillar of a species of moth, called Lymire edwardsiisee [1]. This is a caterpillar that does not reach 4 centimeters in length, and is the larval phase of a moth with a beautiful blue-gray color.

Es una oruga muy hermosa, cabeza roja, cuerpo negruzco y vellos filamentosos de colores entre blancos, amarillos con algunos plumones negros u ocres. Por más que sea hermosa, es una plaga pues se come muchas plantas de jardín abriendoles huecos a las hojas.
It is a very beautiful caterpillar, with a red head, blackish body and filamentous hairs of colors between white and yellow with some black or ocher downs. As beautiful as it is, it is a pest because it eats many garden plants by opening holes in the leaves.

La encontré cerca de la puerta de la casa, luego de una fría y húmeda noche. Estaba buscando el sol y sus movimientos eran relativamente lentos. Esto me ayudo para capturar varias tomas y algunos fragmentos de video.
I found her near the door of the house, after a cold and humid night. He was looking for the sun and his movements were relatively slow. This helped me capture several shots and some video fragments.

I succumbed to the perfect beauty of the insect. The hair of the insect looks very beautiful. But when the hair of this insect touches the human body, it is very shiny and swollen. This insect is very harmful to crops. Thank you. Stay well.
