Macro Photography Challenge - Week 44

Saludos amigos de amantes de la macrofotografía, me complace volver a participar para esta la edición nº 48. Hoy les comparto algunas tomas de acercamiento a semillas de café, práctica que realicé en mi estudio.

Greetings friends of macrophotography lovers, I am pleased to participate again for this edition no. 48. Today I share with you some close-up shots of coffee seeds, a practice that I carried out in my studio.

Recientemente estuve en un curso sobre historia del café, y allí nos dieron a tocar semillas en diferentes estados, desde el fruto, luego abiertas y secadas al sol para ir a tostar. Fue una experiencia muy enriquecedora, en la que también nos dieron información sobre las mejores técnicas para preparar y degustar el tan apreciado café.

Recently I was in a course on the history of coffee, and there they gave us to touch seeds in different states, from the fruit, then opened and dried in the sun to be roasted. It was a very enriching experience, in which they also gave us information about the best techniques to prepare and taste the much appreciated coffee.

En esta toma se ve en primer plano una semilla ya seca, en el medio la semilla con restos de la capa llamada cuticula y al fondo la semilla recien extraida todavía con mucilago. ---In this shot you can see an already dry seed in the foreground, in the middle the seed with remains of the layer called cuticle and in the background the recently extracted seed still with mucilage. --- Imagen de @joslud

Photoshoot

Para esta sesión quise lograr los mejores acercamientos posibles a la semilla ya sola o ya en composición con otras. Trabajé en estudio con luz natural y artificial de refuerzo. Las capturas las hice con la cámara A7S de mi celular en modo macro y jugando con el zoom de la cámara y acercamientos manuales.

Preferí encuadres verticales para trabajar la profundidad. La post edición fue básicamente recortes y mejorar la iluminación.

For this session I wanted to achieve the best possible approaches to the seed, whether alone or in composition with others. I worked in a studio with natural and artificial lighting for reinforcement. I took the captures with my cell phone's A7S camera in macro mode and playing with the camera's zoom and manual zooms.

I preferred vertical frames to work on depth. The post editing was basically cuts and improving the lighting.
