My Weekly Powerup | #club100 | Kristiansand is getting in the mood for Christmas (Norway) | #steemexclusive / 5 photos

Christmas is approaching. Kristiansand has been decorated for Christmas since the end of November. I often think it's a bit early, but on the other hand, these weeks and days have gone by quickly. The photos were taken in the center of the city only a few days ago when I was on my way home from work and with my phone. It was already dark, but the shops are still open.

During the month of Desember almost all of the shops have extend their opening hours. This little bakery in the pedestrian shopping street was open and with outside seating. It had started to snow, so the tables and benches was slighty covered. But it's possible to sit inside too.

Behind the bakery I turned around the corner to come up to the town square. The Christmas ball and tree are in place as they have been for years. Inside the ball you can sit on a bench. During the month of Descember it's probably the most photographed Christmas decoration in town.

A little further up the square, something new has arrived. This is a fountain with water in it in the summer. But now that the water is closed, they have chosen to decorate here too. Visibility was a bit unclear this evening due to that it was snowing, but it was atmospheric. In Norway we like a white Christmas.
