Привет всем!
Призраки могут быть не только на улицах города, но и в стенах твоего дома.
При этом их можно не только караулить, но и создавать самому.
У моего друга @lightcaptured есть целая серия прекрасных фотографий подобных призраков.
И эта серия вдохновила меня на свои эксперименты.
Рёчь идёт о фотографиях дыма ...
Для начала я купил индийские палочки для благовоний.
Эксперименты с трутом были неудачными, не было густого дыма.
Но сделать дым - это пол дела, его нужно ещё поместить на матрицу камеры.
И тут у меня начался цирк и клоуны... :)
НЕт у меня ни студии, ни студийного оборудования - фоны, специальный свет, стойки и прочее.
Но моряки об этом не грустят.
Есть у меня камера, тренога и вспышка, это основное.
Я дождался ночи...
про самодельное студийное оборудование сделанное на коленке
я как-нибудь сделаю отдельный пост, это как минимум весело.
Сейчас просто покажу первые результаты.
Они далеки от совершенства (очень), но от них можно отталкиваться :)

And this series inspired me to do some experiments of my own.
We're talking about smoke photos ....
To start with, I bought Indian incense sticks.
Experiments with trout were unsuccessful, there was no thick smoke.
But making smoke is half the battle, you have to put it on the camera sensor.
And that's where my circus and clowns started..... :)
I have neither studio nor studio equipment - backgrounds, special light, stands and so on.
But sailors are not sad about it.
I have a camera, tripod and flash, that's the main thing.
I waited until the night...
about homemade studio equipment made from scratch.
I'll do a separate post sometime, it's fun at the very least.
Right now I'll just show you the first results.
They are far from perfect (very), but you can build on them :)

I think you've already got some nice results.
My strobe has, what we call here, "honey comb" that makes the light much harder.
For my flash, I've made myself a cheap modifier with a box from Pringles chips and black plastic straws that I fill the inside, I think I posted about it somewhere already.
I keep working on my project when the weather outside isn't good :)
So, keep it up as sometimes when zooming in some amazing shapes are visible ;)

Просто сделал щель... но этого явно не достаточно. Осталось соломинки найти))
Yes, without the straws the light will still be a bit soft. More focused this way for sure. This may give different results, I may test this way too.

Я нашёл соломинки, вставил их в эту коробку и попробовал. Да, пучок света стал более направленным... но интенсивность пучка стаоа меньше. Возможно мои соломинки слишком маленького диаметра, их много и их стенки поглощают часть света.
В следующей серии экспериментов я попробую сделать не просто узкую щель, а длинный узкий "коридор" для светового потока. Чтобы выделить только срез дыма. Есть ещё мысль использовать обратное отражение от зеркала.
Схема становится всё более сложной... просто у меня слабая вспышка )))
Yes, the flash power is important as with all the modifiers a big part of the light is lost. I use thick black plastic straws, 6mm diameters, 30 cm long. I play a lot with the angle of the incoming light :)
... мои соломинки тоньше, их гораздо больше в пачке и они серьёзно ослабляют свет.
Хочу попробовать "узкий длинный тоннель для света, фактически одну длинную соломину ))

I think the longer they are, the less light arrives at the target.
The honey comb modifier on my pro-grade strobe is only 3 cm and it perfectly works.
Может быть ты прав.. Это ещё один вариант, который надо попробовать. В качестве альтернативы я хотел накрутить бумажных трубочек диаметром 8-10 мм )
Smoke photos are a great way to add a unique visual element to your photography projects. Experimenting with different types of smoke, such as Indian incense sticks, has produced interesting mystical results. Keep improving your techniques and I look forward to seeing your future photo creations :)
