MacroPhotography Challenge Week-6 || The Jewel Bug "Coccinella Arcuata"
The Jewel Bug
The Jewel Bug
Many of us are wrong about this beetle, because actually this beetle does no harm to farmers. This beetle has a very attractive and beautiful appearance with a combination of metallic green, gold, red and black spots on the upper body. This beetle is not very aggressive, just walking slowly among the leaves and fruit of the shrub. So there is no difficulty for me to take many angles of the picture.
Not every time I can find a ladybug that has this beautiful color. I found this ladybug in an area close to the rice fields. This ladybug species has the Latin name Coccinella arcuata, classified as an environmentally friendly insect and benefits farmers because it preys on small insects or caterpillars that are on plant leaves.
Ladybugs that have very beautiful color patterns are small insect-eating beetles that like to suck or eat plant leaves. Koksi beetles are often brightly colored and always have many colors on their bodies. The colors don't seem to come from absorption but from reflection of light. So it is very appropriate that this insect gets the nickname Lady Bugs because it has a unique and beautiful body color. Hope you like it and thanks for visiting my blog.
