These insects from the order Coleoptera have two pairs of shrouded wings that can harden and thicken according to the situation. It has a hard head of varying size and two long antennae on the head that function as olfactory organs. The sense of smell is even able to physically feel the surrounding environment which other types of insects do not have. The two big round protruding eyes are the main feature of this insect. Both eyes are able to provide visual acuity that is different from the vision of insects in general.
The darkling beetle is the common name for members of the Tenebrionidae family, and it is among the largest species in the insect world. Darkling beetles can live worldwide, in temperate and tropical habitats. Identifying dark beetles is very easy because these beetles have a distinctive body shape and body color. They are generally not a problem for humans, unless their populations are large while the plants are in the nursery stage. Hope you like it and thanks for visiting my blog.
