We all know that because of the internet, a revolution has occurred in our world. Now, almost everything is online. That's why the issue of data privacy is being raised a lot, and especially now with the advent of AI, the risks of hacking have further increased.

Just the other day I read about how some hacker guy used AI to create crazy software that can listen to your keyboard sounds and decipher which keys you hit with 90% accuracy - wild stuff! 😮

But while risks like hacking and data theft definitely exist, the good news is innovative tech is also making the internet a safer playground.

Firstly, websites and apps now use encryption to transfer data. Encryption means data is converted into a code so that no third party can read it. This is how our online things like emails, messages, and financial records remain protected.

Mobile and computer operating systems now have multiple security layers like firewalls and anti-virus programs. These safeguard from malware and hackers and also establish secure connections like HTTPS.

To spot any unusual activity, such as large transactions or strange logins, artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms are used. They send warnings right away if something looks wrong.

Also, two-factor authentication has become widespread, which asks you to enter a code from your phone or email along with your login details. This makes it very unlikely that your account will be hacked.

Besides these things, new security features and protocols are being created every day to make internet use more safe. For instance, data encryption standards are getting better, and machine learning is improving at security detection.

So, we can say that new technologies have greatly enhanced our online security and privacy in the last few years to some degree. But there is still a lot of room for improvement since data breaches and cyber attacks still happen. Therefore, users also need to be careful and look after their security themselves.

What's the cloud, and how does it make computers special?

Cloud computing means keeping your data or information, such as photos, videos, documents etc. online on secure internet servers, and then using it from any device whenever needed. And this data is also very safe because cloud service providers have sophisticated security and backup systems.

Say your phone or laptop dies - all that data would vanish! But files stored in the cloud would remain retrievable. Just connect a new device and recover your data with ease.

You can think of it like an online locker where you store your important stuff, like how people store jewelry and cash in bank lockers. But here you store digital data like documents, photos, movies etc. And this locker remains available to you 24/7 - you can view and download your files anytime.

Could you explain the concept of virtual reality in layman’s terms?

Virtual reality means creating a completely computer-generated 3D environment where a person can feel fully immersed. Special electronic gadgets like VR headsets worn over the eyes are used for this.

These headsets have small screens inside on which 3D images are continuously displayed as you move your neck or tilt your head. They also have built-in sensors which detect your every movement and change in direction. This is combined with high quality 3D sound for a realistic feel.

So, using virtual reality, we can step into a whole detailed 3D environment separate from the real world and carry out activities that may not be possible otherwise. This technology is still in the developing stages but has a lot of potential for the future.
