Strict parents have strict rules and expectations of their children. They encourage their children to work towards a common goal. These parental rules differ from one another. Some parents put pressure on their children to achieve this goal, while others restrict their children's freedom for the same reason.
Advantages
Strict parenting contributes to the development of strong values in their children. It is because children need to be instilled in discipline when they are young. Children of strict parents succeed academically because they learn self-discipline. Therefore, they study harder, pay more attention, and achieve higher grades. Strict parents push their children to be better so that they can develop confidence in themselves and their abilities.
Disadvantages
Parents are the first teachers of their children, so they should be gentle with them. However, some parents put pressure on their children to complete tasks. Because of this children feel that their parents do not love them and attempt to distance themselves from them. That is harmful to their security, and they become aggressive when they believe their parents do not love or ignore them. This will have long-term consequences, not just short-term consequences. Strict parental control will result in children with poor social skills, anxiety, depression, fear, and low self-esteem.
To shape a child's future, strictness is required, but in a friendly manner. I remember my father being strict with us and instilling discipline in us. Even today, we possess such values due to my father’s strictness. True, he gave us the freedom to choose our own paths, but at the start of our lives, he shaped our values by being strict. Therefore, I am not worried about be a child of such strict parents.
As a child, I like to see strictness from my parents. I have some experience with my uncle and aunty; their children don’t have good behavior and good values because those qualities were not instilled in them at a young age.
When parents want to get what they want, they use tactics such as criticism, threats, and manipulations. Emotional blackmail is extremely damaging to any type of relationship. It has the greatest impact on parent-child relationships because children are frequently the target. When a parent blackmails their child, they are using this type of threat or force to get the child to do what they want. This could be anything, such as improving one's academic performance, etc. Whatever the outcome, blackmail is a form of emotional manipulation that can lead to long-term mental health issues like depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts.

It's interesting to know that strict parenting aids kids to be the best academically, they have discipline and self confidénce which they channel in their studies thus bring out the best in them too. It could be negative too as you stressed these kids might think their parents hate them and grow with he notion too making them afraid of their parents and thus hiding things from them too. Well hell yes ! Strictness but in friendly manner .. i would say a "bitter candy" or a "sweet Strictness " . We as a children really need strictness in order to stay on the right path and gain the ability of distinguishing between wrongs and rights . Children tend to cry after the facts that their parents are strict but i feel once they grow older they truly understand the motives behind their parent's
behavior......be it a good motive or a bad .
