My Town In Five Pics-Portharcourt City

Good morning steemians, how was your night? Today I have come to participate in a wonderful contest by displaying 5 pictures of my town Portharcourt City. We all know so many places in our town because we have been residing around these places. Special thanks to one of my favorite top steemians @artist1111 for creating this contest.

Metropolitan High School

This school is known as one of the best schools in my town as alot of students derive joy in registering for WAEC in this school because students who writes their final external exams in high school in this particular school as well, always pass with flying colors. I have heard about this school since when I was in junior high school and I even wrote my junior WAEC under this school but in my school premises.

Metropolitan is a big school with a huge amount of population as lots of students do attend the school and am sure their sole reason is to write WAEC under the school. This school has quality teachers who are very brilliant and diligent in their work, I will love you guys to go to this school someday.

St. Jude Catholic Church

This is a big catholic church that is found in Rumuokoro, Portharcourt. This church has alot of population as well as so many Catholics worship here, am also a catholic but I don't worship in this church because is very far from my home, I just go there to attend meetings.

The next time I will go there is next year, I went to this church alot this year as so many meetings were made there. The church is a very nice place that's why alot of meetings are held there. In this catholic church there are diligent and hardworking Reverend fathers who always dedicate their entire life in their job.

Vondorix international Schools

This school is a very big school in Portharcourt and I have not entered inside the school before, I really want to see the internal parts of this school in reality. Form the window of my school I always see this school from a distance as is not very far from my school.

Alot of pupils and students attend this school and I heard that is very big school with alot of quality teachers and hardworking non-academic staff. Vondorix once set a football match with my school girls and theirs and one week later we went to their school to play the match but their girls say they are not playing that they aren't ready, we automatically won the match as they were scared of our girls.

Shining Light

This eatery isn't booming the way it used to and I always feel pity for it as they don't get customers anymore, most times I do wonder the reason behind that. Most times when I pass by I won't see up to 4 people inside. Shining light was once the talk of the town as alot of people were always patronizing.

I feel the reason for this is because of a new eatery that was created close to shining light and is known as Chicken republic, this place is currently booming as alot of people do enter inside to purchase alot of foods, snacks and drinks. I haven't even entered the place before.

Acme Model School

This was once the most beautiful school in my area until other schools superceded it although the school is still ok and good but no longer the most beautiful. This model school is for only children who are muslims, I remembered when my father wanted my siblings and I to go to this school but he discovered that the school is for only muslims and we are all christians.

This school has alot of population which really shocked me despite the fact that is a Muslim school in the southern part and not the northern part of Nigeria. I heard that the teachers are all doing great and parents of the students do co-operate with the school teachers. They normally have their end of year party every Sunday as they are muslims and always free on Sundays. Thanks for reading.
