Hi Steemians,

In this fourth week of the seventh season of the Steemit Engagement Challenge, competitions continue with exciting and innovative ideas, and today I have chosen to participate in the competition proposed by the Steem4Bloggers community, which is in discussion with the President to propose some reforms that we see as beneficial to the country and the people. So I wish you a pleasant reading.

What would it be like if we had the opportunity to speak with the president?

The most important thing that the president must adhere to in the context of his relationship with the people is to respect their will, and listen to their distress, suffering, pain and pain. If the president violates the will of his people, he will have lost his role as a symbol of the unity of the nation. In this context, as a Tunisian citizen, I have a lot to say to my country's president, Kais Saied, in light of the difficult circumstances that Tunisia is going through.

My conversation will be as follows:

Mr President, thank you very much.

I would like to thank you for giving me this opportunity to present my suggestions, which I believe are likely to benefit my country, Tunisia, and its people, which crystallize in three main points:

Developing education systems:

Source

Based on my experience in this field, I wrote and suggested a lot when I was holding the position of deputy academic "school agent" in a secondary school.

This can be done through planning, training and gradual development, not comprehensive and total change, because this will lead to the existence of soft areas that cannot be bypassed.

One of my proposals for developing the performance of teachers is for the teacher to enter a two-year training course after college, specialized in educational and academic aspects, provided that the success rate is 75% or more. Schools and according to the educational stage for which the teacher is nominated.

The performance of teachers is monitored and evaluated after graduating from these courses to find out the results of training and teachers' performance.

The teachers are led by an expert teacher in his field who supervises these new teachers, follows up and monitors performance, gives feedback, trains and develops.

The teacher whose performance did not rise to the required level shall be retrained in the subjects with which he is having difficulty.

There is an annual test for teachers to determine their competence, and this test includes academic, educational and technical issues.

For those who do not pass the test, a treatment plan is made for him to improve his level, and he is re-tested in the next year. If he does not pass the test, his services will be dispensed with.

With regard to curricula, I suggest that a committee be formed from all regions to develop curricula, provided that the participants are specialists in authoring curricula and not an ordinary teacher, as is happening now.

The curriculum contains up-to-date information and activities that engage students in their life and social life.

Also, the questions at the end of the book should be comprehensive and different in levels.

The tests are comprehensive and computerized and at the level of the Arab world as a whole.

Students who do not pass the exams do not move with their successful classmates, but rather stay in their places and a treatment plan is prepared for them, and then they are re-tested again, the "filter system".

The curriculum should be vertical and not horizontal, meaning that the curriculum should focus on the depth of the subject and not its surface.

The curriculum should focus on thinking skills at all levels, scientific research skills, investigation, exploration and problem-solving.

School hours should focus on two subjects, the first is a scientific subject, at an hour and a half, and the second is literary, at an hour and a half, while the rest of the hours are towards developing skills, whether physical or intellectual skills.

Also, some hours should be devoted to practicing and developing hobbies or talents, such as drawing, photography, or anything else.

There must be practical hours in which the student learns to conduct experiments, research and write scientific reports.

There are hours spent by the student reading and researching books through the school library or the central library.

Increase communication with parents and involve them in the educational process.

Exchange visits between teachers in the same school and other schools.

Exchange visits between students in the same school and other schools.

Strict supervision must be placed on teachers from a moral point of view, so teachers are not allowed to be in suspicious places.

There must be an educational police in every school whose work is to supervise the behavior of students and resolve disputes between students, and it has the power to take appropriate measures against students who violate school rules.

Existence of educational programs for teachers and students covering all fields.

Providing respectable sources of education, including devices, equipment and means.

Develop means of monitoring and controlling education.

Reducing work pressures for teachers through some administrative procedures.

Unifying tests in the country requires unifying curricula, lesson plans, and classroom activities.

Curricula and activities are reviewed based on teachers' feedback every year.

Giving high salaries to teachers and material and moral privileges that raise their status, such as the presence of respectable housing for them close to the school, the presence of their own hospitals, sports clubs, markets … etc.

If education is reformed in our countries, the nation and society will be reformed.

Agriculture to get out of the Tunisian economic crisis:

Source

Agriculture is the only solution to get out of the Tunisian economic crisis, and there must be political will in order for the state to depend on this sector as a primary pillar of the economy.

The farmer is always the weakest link in the chain. At the beginning of every season, the investor in large plantations is surprised, especially by the high cost of agricultural products, mainly represented by the high cost of fertilizers and seeds, as well as medicines. On the other hand, the price of wheat and barley in Tunisia did not rise in the Tunisian market, and this is the result of the absence of a strategic plan from Country.

Livestock breeders suffer from the high cost of fodder, especially compound fodder, as a result of its high prices in the global markets and the dominance of a large fodder lobby, which prompted many of them to think of selling their livestock.

These are a set of solutions for the advancement of the agricultural sector, mainly represented in:

  • Empowering young people, especially graduates from higher institutes of agriculture, from international lands

  • Organizing the profit margin in fodder so that the farmer is not harmed

  • Pushing banks to help young people to take out agricultural loans

  • Encouraging the farmer to develop his product

  • Opening new markets for export in the agricultural sector, especially the olive sector, which was limited to the European market

Good water management:

Source

The water sector is the basic element in human life, as it constitutes the main factor for the production of food, health and environmental requirements, and the carrying out of its various economic activities. Tunisia is characterized by the scarcity of its traditional water resources, and it is expected that the share will decrease in the coming years as a result of reaching the maximum rate of exploitation of our traditional water resources (ground tables and surface water) in addition to the expected climate changes.

To face the risks and challenges that threaten the water sector, especially as we are at the crossroads between the current situation, which was mainly based on traditional water resources to respond to water demand, and what awaits us in terms of future transformations, especially an imbalance between supply and demand, given that we have reached the maximum rate of exploitation of our traditional water resources (tables). groundwater and surface water). Which calls for a radical review of the integrated disposal of our water resources.

The future strategy of the water sector requires carrying out deep reforms that take into account the effects of expected climate changes and the limited traditional water resources, based on giving absolute priority to potable water and the need to reconsider the priorities of agricultural products, whose importance in the Tunisian diet has been proven by the “Covid 19” pandemic.

This necessitates a review of the directions of the agricultural map, given the available water resources, and the focus of an integrated national strategy between all sectors, to govern the exploitation of traditional and non-traditional water resources by developing the uses of treated water and desalination by putting pressure on the cost of energy by relying on renewable energies, reviewing legislation to store rainwater in urban and rural areas, and monitoring the necessary incentives. For more concentration of individual boilers and collective tanks.

The limitedness of our water resources necessitates the implementation of an intensive communication plan that includes all users of water to further rationalize consumption, improve the use of water economically and socially, reduce its loss, protect it from pollution and sedimentation of dust by dams, and limit the indiscriminate exploitation of underground resources.

Thank you very much for reading, it's time to invite my friends @adeljose @franyeligonzalez and @chiabertrand to participate in this contest.

Hello dear @kouba01
The you suggests several ways to improve the education system, including: mandatory two-year teacher training, monitoring and evaluation of teacher performance, formation of a curriculum committee made up of specialists, emphasis on thinking skills and practical work, increased communication with parents, moral supervision of teachers, provision of educational resources, reduction of workload for teachers, unifying tests and curricula, and offering higher salaries and privileges to teachers. The you believes that reforming education will lead to the reform of the nation and society.

The you suggested high costs of inputs and limited market opportunities are cited as factors impeding the growth of the sector. The you proposed solutions include empowering young people, organizing the profit margin in the livestock sector, providing financial assistance to farmers, promoting product development, and expanding export markets. These are important steps towards making agriculture a primary pillar of the Tunisian economy. However, it is important to note that implementing these solutions will require a strong political will and cooperation between the government and private sector.

The future strategy should prioritize potable water and reassess the priorities of agriculture, which can be achieved through a review of the agricultural map, an integrated national strategy between sectors, and the use of treated water and desalination with a focus on renewable energy. An intensive communication plan should also be implemented to encourage responsible water usage and reduce waste. Thank you for participating in the contest.

Saludos cordiales!!

I thank you for this comment. Indeed, I hope the President listens to my proposals to include the educational reform that I proposed, including the need to review the educational system at the level of educational curricula because it is outdated and has not developed, the school evaluation system, and school attendance.

Congratulations!

Hi @kouba01! Great explanation of education reform in Tunisia! Your suggestions are comprehensive and well thought out. Your emphasis on teacher training and development, student engagement, and involving parents in the education process are all important aspects to consider.
The "filter system" you propose is also a unique and potentially effective solution.
Overall, a well written and informative post.

I thank you for this outcome of my vision of education reform. Indeed, the main problem remains the weakness of the two components, and education can be reformed with a budget that allocates 97 percent of it to salaries, and the educational role of teachers and professors has been abolished, in addition to the absence of pedagogical renewal that is mainly based on teaching knowledge.

 last year

I completely agree with your observation about the weaknesses in the current education system. The allocation of a significant portion of the budget towards salaries is a step in the right direction, but it is equally important to focus on pedagogical renewal and the role of teachers and professors in order to bring about meaningful and sustainable change in the education system. Without proper support and resources, the education reform may not have the desired impact.

Education is the main thing that must be paid attention to by those who sit on the highest throne in government. The more qualified the human resources of a country, the more developed the country will be. Good post. Good luck for the contest. I have also participated in this contest.

Indeed my dear, one of the fundamental issues to evaluate and reform the Tunisian education system is to invest in education as a gateway to develop financial investments and advance the economy, politics, social peace, security and all sectors. In addition, educational reform is not an option but a necessity imposed by the reality of the international economy for any country that aspires to establish economic, political and social well-being . I will read your post too.

Every person has his own idea that when he meets the Chief Minister, what ideas will he give to him and share with him all the things related to his country or any other things that you think are right and You will openly tell them all the things that are going wrong, the things that are going wrong in your country, and you must share with them all the ideas that you think are better for your country. will🌹🌹🌹
