"Women's day special - My celebrations by @chasad75"

Hello everyone. Today is 8th March and is International Women's Day that is celebrated throughout the world. It is celebrated to show women including our mother, sister, daughter, wife, other relatives and girls out there honour and salute for their accomplishments. It also let us spread awareness throughout the world about gender disparties mean of treating women with different level.

Before going further, let's go back to history and know when and why it needed to have Women's Day. During 19s, women were not considered a special person as a men and they were not allowed to that such to take part in voting in elections. A movement Universal Female Suffrage happened in early 20th century that helped to spread awareness about the matter.

The first Women's Day was celebrated in New York City on February 28, 1909. But after around 1 year, International Socialist Women's Conference was held in 1910 that propose to have a special day as Women's Day every year. In 1917, after struggling for 7 years, International Women's Day was announced to be held on 8th of March every year. This is how Women's Day was marked on 8th of every years' March. There are many reasons why this day should be celebrated and why we must give thanks to our women in house. First reason is inequality between two genders male and female. It is reported by World Health Organization (WHO) that out of 3 women 1 is being physical or sexually harassed once or more times in her life. This thing makes the women stay at home and not take part in economic opportunities, jobs, social activities etc.

Moreover, due to sexual abuse in the world, girls are unable to take proper education that makes them lack in ability to go and take part to the opportunities that are currently men is getting. Another reason here is that can be seen worldwide is forced marriage against their will. If a boy has rights to marry a girl he likes or love then a girl must also be given equal rights to choose her life partner. In my religion Islam, women have complete rights to choose a boy to whom she wants to marry and forceful marrying is considered a great sin.

Another reason why Women's Day must be celebrated each year is according to The Global Gender Gap Report 2021, there is needed to be 135.6 years to completely fill the gap of men and women inequality. So it is important to do this every year without any break. Furthermore, as I talked about education, more than 181 million girls are not educated so that's why they face harrasment, force marriage against her will, no opportunity in politicals, business, and other sectors.

My drawing is really bad so I can't afford to scare my mother 😜. So I got two cards for my mother from Canva. First look at the card and let it rate out of 10 💕💕 if they are good to give to my mother so I will print them out from shop.

Why I choose to thanks my mother on this International Women's Day is because of her suffering a lot throughout her life for us. My father before his marriage was working on Saudia Arabia. He comes to Pakistan after 1 year or sometimes 1.5 years. My mother lives alone without my father for that time and I have seen her silently crying after my father goes back to Saudia to earn for us. She has sacrificed her complete life for us and live with my father for like 5-8 years in 30 years of marriage.

My father when he comes back to Pakistan on vacation, he lives here for 3-6 months depending on how much saving he got. Once his saving ends, he again left for Saudia to earn for us and comes back after 1 year or more time with little savings to spend 3-6 months again with us. I can't explain that feeling how much difficult it is to stay far away like this. My mother never got appreciation from anyone for raising us perfectly and how she spend all that time.

For all of this, I want to "Thank You" my mother and how she raised me and my siblings. I love her and will always support her even I know if I take care of her even 100 years from now, I can't pay off my mother's debt she did just for one night. That one night when I cried and didn't let her sleep and she took me in her arms and never shout at me and let me sleep peacefully in her arms. In our religion Islam, that is the reason why it is said "Jannah is under the feet of your mother". Thanks and Happy International Women's Day.
