Greetings Everyone! I am Asad Fazal from Pakistan. I hope everyone here is doing well and enjoying their life with family and friends. Today I'm here to take part in the SEC Season14 Week2 challenge. The topic of the challenge decided by the community team is "The Technology News of 2023?". So let's start.
⭐ What was the technological news that impacted you the most in 2023? Let's talk about it. |

The year 2023 was full of working on Artificial Intelligence and the tools that are made in different fields of it. I personally use few tools including Midjourney, Leonardo.ai, Limewire(Bluewillow), and Chatgpt for python coding. The world has changed a lot in past 1.5 year because of the Artificial Intelligence.
I was afraid of AI at first because I thought it was take my data without my permission. But then I decided after many of my fellows started using different tools of AI. The first tool was Chatgpt which I used for few minutes and then I just left it because it didn't grab my that much attention.
Second tool was Bluewillow for which I purchase $5 subscription to create images as I am a freelancer. Then I also used Chatgpt for python scraping code that took many hours of my daily life. I was fixing the code with multiple errors but at the end Chatgpt helped me. Third tool was Leonardo.ai and then last one was Midjourney that I used from 29 October to 29 November (a $30 subscription plan).
So I love this technology of AI and I have earned good amount of money from it. But from last 6 months, I was not that much free to fully learn new things and explore new advancements of AI. But now I am free and will start learning code of app building with AI in start of 2024 InShaaAllah.

Yes Artificial Intelligence has impacted a lot on society. But the issue is it has many advantages with many disadvantages as well. I have seen both at the same time. It all depends on ourselves that how we use this technology.
I have used it to write python code and to create images. So it has affected positively on me but there are people who have used it in wrong way like switching faces and blackmailing girls. Elon Musk once said AI is far more dangerous than we know. I totally agree with him.
The reason why Elon Musk said it because he also knew that there are more evil people here on earth than good ones. And bad ones will only use it to destroy human beings. Political people have used it against their opposition and specially in Pakistan in past year for fake recordings and voice calls.
However, let me share some of the advantages of AI technology:
- It helps to complete the work within few seconds to minutes.
- AI has solved complex tasks with less human inputs.
- It can work 24/7/365 without any breaks or downtime.
- Costs are reduced with the help of AI.
- Automation of multiple tasks without human need.
- Almost zero human errors with AI.
⭐ If you could venture into a technological advance (medicine, entertainment, daily life, artificial intelligence, cryptocurrencies), what would that area be and why? |

I will go in daily life and cryptocurrencies security. The reason for daily life is we humans love that our work should be automate and we just sit and earn. There are very few humans on earth who really wanted to do hard work. We can take example of many Steemians who used Chatgpt for wrong purpose. They created content and published here to earn rewards but humans are more intelligent that AI as they have build AI not AI created us.
I want to improve daily life things including things of kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, office, and everything that we use in daily life. The more ease we will have the more we will work on more advance things.
Second is cryptocurrency security to protect assets from hackers and scammers. I also want to introduce this feature with AI that before we send amount, AI check whether the address is correct or not and if by mistake we send to wrong address, there must be a way to get the return. I know it is hard to do this as it is blockchain and there is no owner or controller in most cryptocurrencies but still we can try this.
⭐ Finally, what do you expect the year 2024 to be like in terms of technological advances and news? |

I think Quantum AI will start taking places in industries and it will also impact positively in climate change. It will also improve the cryptocurrency world in 2024 and new coins will be build by using blockchain and artificial intelligence. I know many people had already lost job as AI replace them but still it will bring many jobs in AI field.
It's better for us to start learning AI and machine learning as it is the future and from 2024 onwards, we will see many advancements in AI and machine learning. The most affected point will be problem solving in any field because AI can help you solve problems without any mistakes and within few minutes.

My husband is a developer and systems engineer. A couple of months ago he also discovered using AI to make his programming quicker and more efficient. He is blown away with what AI can do so, yah, I can understand why you say you have fallen in love with AI.
We have only seen the tip of the mountain when it comes to AI.

Yes AI can do things in few seconds to minutes which were taking hours and some days. However, it is still dangerous if bad people use it.
Indeed! In this week we were watching news broadcast about AI and the usage of it with child pornography. It is scary!
Thats horrible. Don't know why I think that politicians are also involved in such bad things. Without them how people can do that. There must be a strong hand on bad people and that is of politicians offcourse.

These are the newly project we have seen this year. You are very right in saying that the world has greatly changed in this 1.5 year in the field of science and technology. Especially AI is going on it peak.
You have talked about the dark side of AI that how people can use it for wrong purposes. Aa you mentioned Elon musk also addressed this issue. I think AI is for our benefit so we should use it for our benefits and not wrong purpose or blackmailing stuff.

Artificial intelligence has both advantages and disadvantages, but disadvantages outweigh advantages. According to me, in the future, the entire world will be run by AI technology. Most industries are already utilizing this technology in their respective business fields. In my opinion, by 2024, this will be more developed, reducing the disadvantages.
I wish that governments try to reduce the AI disadvantages by controlling it in good way. Because if it continues, it will have more harms in the future. However, we hope for the best :)
