Cactus plant is a xerophyte plant, which is its habitat for living in dry and less watery areas.
Its ability to live on a dry garden like a desert, causes the cactus to adapt by having a stem surface covered with a wax layer or cuticle. In addition, the stem also functions to store water. The cactus plant also modifies its leaves into spines, which aims to reduce evaporation that occurs through the leaves.
