This is my first participation in the Venezolanos Steem community. In this first week's challenge we are invited to discuss the traditions that exist in our country. Considering this is an interesting topic, I invited @lirvic @itikna09 and @rumaisha.
Indonesia is the name of my country. A large country with diverse cultures and traditions. I can't count how many traditions there are in this country. Maybe thousands, or even more.
Each ethnic group has its own traditions and that too in quite large numbers. The Acehnese, for example, have various traditions inherited from our ancestors and we still preserve them today.

This is the biggest and grandest tradition in Indonesia. This celebration is held every year on August 17th. All Indonesian people welcome this tradition to celebrate freedom day or independence day.
The highlight of this event is the holding of Carnival and various other events. Many participants in this event wore unusual costumes. Introducing culture and tourism promotion are also carried out at this carnival event.
However, each region has its own unique way of enlivening this carnival event. The aim is none other than to introduce traditions and culture, especially to the nation's young generation.

This is a tradition in the province of Aceh. We are here holding a traditional bride-to-bride event as a form of support and direct participation when a relative or friend of ours is holding a wedding.

This tradition is carried out after a man and woman have finished getting married. The groom is the first person to be escorted to the bride's house. The next day or a few days later it is the bride's turn to be taken to the groom's house.
The purpose of the tradition of bringing the bride and groom is to strengthen the family relationship between the two parties and at the same time as a form of acceptance from both families (bride and groom).
The two traditions above are only a small part of the many traditions found in Indonesia. There are many other traditions that are still well maintained even today.
Personally, I really support efforts to preserve the nation's traditions and culture. This is a legacy from our ancestors in the past. As successors, it is our obligation to maintain it (tradition).
It is important to preserve traditions so that later our children will know themselves and their nation through culture and traditions.

Independence Day celebrations and carnivals are traditions that almost everyone around the world does. I am sure that in your country this tradition is also often practiced.
For the tradition Antar Pengantin , I just found out that it does not exist in other countries. This is our tradition that has been passed down by our ancestors for hundreds of years
