I was just looking back at my first post 6 months ago where i went hunting Link spammers Link i had noticed an increase in spam and wanted to at least try and do something about it.

They make the place look messy and who knows where that link is really taking you!

The past 6 months

Its been rather interesting to see the spammers evolve where they started making their accounts look as real as possible, they also started adding more and more text to the body of the post - this tactic i assume is the make the opening screen of the post look half legit.

I have had some mild threats asking me to mind my own business but that just got me more interested.

Not sure who's veranda that one was actually on 😜😜

We have uncovered a Farming project where an army of 15sp accounts (3000 accounts) would upvote 8 main accounts causing the posts to make a bit of money. link

Removing 15SP delegations

The first 3 months saw the Steemit engineering team remove the 15sp signup delegation from 500 accounts which amounted to 7500SP, the last 3 months they have removed this from 300 accounts which is another 4500.

This shows they have been slowed but not entirely eradicated.🦟

12,000SP in total and counting....
