Many people make mistakes in life out of ignorance because all human beings are ignorant about something, but ignoring God as the supreme being and author of our lives is an irremediable and serious mistake.

But Jesus answered and said to them: You are wrong because you do not understand the Scriptures or the power of God.

Jesus always spoke to the Pharisees so that they understood his behavior but they interpreted everything that Jesus told them in an earthly way, that is, their lives were rooted only in the material and earthly that they had no space to understand anything about God. Jesus gave them to understand that it was wrong to think of heaven using earthly concepts. Life in heaven will not be an extension of the present human existence. The power of God will provide new and better relationships than the material order existing in this world.

He also spoke to all who ignored the word of God saying:

Ephesians 4:18
Darkened in their understanding, excluded from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their hearts

The world that does not know God is summed up in the phrase "vanity of its mind" which means: emptiness, lack of purpose, darkened understanding, alienation from the life of God, ignorance in the divine ways, hardened hearts and loss of sensitivity human

The man who lives without God has his heart darkened and out of ignorance and hardness of heart they call the good bad and certainly because of his hardness of heart the Bible says that God excludes them from his presence
