Customs That We Must Put Aside.
I believe that almost all of us have the habit of looking at the error in others without first looking at how we are, that is why Jesus left us this teaching in Matthew 7:
3 And why do you look at the straw that is in your brother's eye, and fail to see the beam that is in your own eye?
4 Or how will you say to your brother: Let me remove the straw from your eye, and behold the beam in your eye?
5 Hypocrite! First remove the beam from your own eye, and then you will see well to remove the straw from your brother's eye.
Although this does not mean that we will not be able to give advice or reprimand someone who is acting badly, it does make it clear that we cannot try to correct someone else without first checking ourselves, because it is not possible that if you yell at Every while you try to tell them someone else not to, it would be counterproductive, insane.
What right can you have to try to make someone stop doing what you always do? To get someone's attention you must be an example, not a perfect one, but you cannot try to correct the fault in others that is also in you.
Focus on the weakness in you so that in the forces that God gives you you can be transformed, we all have defects and virtues, but we must focus on ourselves and not on others.
Because judging others when we must first heal and heal ourselves in order to see clearly and help others properly, without pointing, just extending our hand to lift them up.
The way in which we express ourselves about others speaks of us, so we must be careful and be one of those who add up, let's stop judging others lightly and think that we can later be the ones who go through some kind of situation that today we criticize.
Let's be more aware and less judgmental, kinder, more empathetic, and practice the love of Jesus.
