The revelation of the Mystery of the Resurrection was progressively, God, in the perfect pedagogy of Him, was making known the people of Him, little by little, the eschatological promise of the resurrection. Being God creator of the integral unity that we call man (soul and body), the hope of the resurrection is a consequence of faith in a god who is omnipotent and faithful to the promises of him, a God who does not know impossible (Jeremiah 32, 27).

  In the Old Testament we can observe, how in the toughest moments of their test, Mártires Maccabeos proclaim the hope of the resurrection received from God:

"You take off the present life, but the king of the universe will resurrect us in eternal life, to us that we die for fidelity to the laws of him" (2 Maccabees 7, 9). "Happy those who die at the hands of men, having the hope received from God to be resurrected by him" (2 Maccabees 1, 14).

  Even though the hope of the resurrection already existed since the past, at the time of Jesus, the Sadducees, unlike the Pharisees, did not believe in the resurrection of the dead. Jesus, during his years of public life, will rebuke them and correct firmly, an example of this was collected in Mark 12, 24 where the Lord says firmly "You are wrong; Maybe they do not understand the Scriptures and the power of God ", and later he reiterated his mistake by saying" God is not a god of death, but of alive. You are very wrong. " (MC 12, 27)

  That Jesus spoke about the hope of the resurrection, it was nothing new for those of his time, the novel, the revolutionary, and at the same time the scandalous for the Jews at that time, it would be the revelation that the Lord Jesus made on the resurrection, By saying that this would be reached by means of faith in it: "I am the resurrection and life, the one who believes in me, although he dies, will live." (John 11, 25).

  Today, the hope of the resurrection between us Christians, is based so much on the teachings of Jesus and in the prodigy of the resurrection of Him; Prodigy that sustains our faith, our eschatological hope and all our preaching on the truth of Christ (1 Corinthians 15, 14).

  La revelación del misterio de la resurrección fue de forma progresiva, Dios, en Su perfecta pedagogía, fue dando a conocer a Su pueblo, poco a poco, la promesa escatológica de la resurrección. Siendo Dios creador de la unidad integral que llamamos hombre (alma y cuerpo), la esperanza de la resurrección es consecuencia de la fe en un Dios que es omnipotente y fiel a Sus promesas, un Dios que no conoce imposibles (Jeremías 32, 27).

  En el Antiguo Testamento podemos observar cómo en los momentos más duros de su prueba, los mártires Macabeos proclaman la esperanza de la resurrección recibida de Dios:

"Nos quitas la vida presente, pero el Rey del universo nos resucitará en la vida eterna, a nosotros que morimos por fidelidad a sus leyes" (2 Macabeos 7, 9). "Felices los que mueren a manos de los hombres, teniendo la esperanza recibida de Dios de ser resucitados por Él" (2 Macabeos 1, 14).

  A pesar de que la esperanza de la resurrección ya existía desde el pasado, en los tiempo de Jesús, los saduceos, a diferencia de los fariseos, no creían en la resurrección de los muertos. Jesús, durante sus años de vida pública, los reprenderá y corregirá con firmeza, un ejemplo de esto fue recogido en Marcos 12, 24 dónde el Señor les dice firmemente "Ustedes están equivocados; a lo mejor no entienden las Escrituras y tampoco el poder de Dios", y más adelante les reitera su error diciendo "Dios no es un Dios de muertos, sino de vivos. Ustedes están muy equivocados." (Mc 12, 27)

  Que Jesús hablara sobre la esperanza de la resurrección, no era nada nuevo para los de su tiempo, lo novedoso, lo revolucionario, y a la vez lo escandaloso para los judíos de aquel entonces, sería la revelación que el Señor Jesús hiciera sobre la resurrección, al decir que ésta sería alcanzada por medio de la fe en Él: "Yo soy la resurrección y la vida, el que cree en mi, aunque muera, vivirá." (Juan 11, 25).

  Hoy, la esperanza de la resurrección entre nosotros los cristianos, se sustenta tanto en las enseñanzas de Jesús como en el prodigio de Su Resurrección; prodigio que sustenta nuestra fe, nuestra esperanza escatológica y toda nuestra predicación sobre la verdad de Cristo (1 Corintios 15, 14).

  Confiemos en las promesas de Nuestro Señor Jesucristo y pidamos siempre al Espíritu Santo que inspire en nosotros todo lo bueno que de Él puede proceder. Amén.
