Introduction

Hello guys,
It's really a very big honour to me as a person to be part of these amazing class, lecture by professor @yohan2on on the topic "Comparing and Contrasting between Decentralized and Centralized applications" is really an amazing one. Sir I commend you for these wonderful presentation, you have really done justice to the task. I will want any one reading these post of mine to please read from they professor him self as that will give you more allaborate idea on the topic am discussing below, please click to read from they horses mouth himself.
In view of these, I will be discussing on the above matter with emphasis on BitTorrent Speed Vs Google drive(Storage/Filesharing). But before we proceed i will be able to like us to possess a review of a number of these terminologies.

Centralized

From they lecture delivered by our very own professor in the person of @yohan2on he explained Centralized application in a very simple but yet a comprehensive way and I quote
Centralized applications are applications software with different client nodes running and controlled on a central unity/client-server. 01
He gave a very short but yet very precise definition of the subject matter.

Decentralization

Decentralized applications are open-source software applications that run on a peer to peer network connection with no central server. 01
These was they exact definition given by our tutor they professor. From the design of things, both centralized and decentralized applications are excellent to a particular extent. Today i will be able to be reviewing BitTorrent Speed Vs Google drive. under these very headings as well.

Merit of BitTorrent Speed

-No service cost, storage limits, perfomance limits or privacy concerns
Since BitTorrent Sync uses P2P technology and doesn't require an external server from a 3rd party, the sole limitation if what's available to the user.
Clients on most platforms available
BitTorrent Sync is out there for Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, iOS, Windows Phone and BSD.
Self hosted:-
If user opens a malicious website that website may create users to access your data ("When registering, http traffic for creating new user on loopback http://127.0.0.1:8888"). Being self hosted one doesn't got to open a site to urge to their files.
02

DEMERIT of BitTorrent Speed

Proprietary:-
Being proprietary, it's harder to audit.
Has some risky attack vectors:-
The only specialized thing it's is that data is self-hosted (i.e. hosted on a server running on your machine with data that are on your machine).
GetSync.com server receives many (all?) hashes in cleartext when sharing the directory.
Pro version for a fee:-
Selective Sync only available in Pro version. Business use isn't allowed with free and Pro versions.
One peer of your network always has got to be online to propagate changes to the opposite peers
Android app drains battery fast
02

MERIT OF GOOGLE DRIVE

File sharing & collaborative editing:-
Google account holders and non-holders are often set to access and/or collaborate on files/folders in real-time. Additionally, you'll find files you've shared not only by filename but by person you've shared the files with.
Built-in office suite:-
Includes tools for writing, presentations and spreadsheets.
Integrates with other Google services:-
For example, you'll use search to look through both Drive and Gmail.
Save files to drive directly from Gmail
Drive allows you to save any file from your email.
Revision control:-
By clicking Ctrl + Alt + G in Windows or Command + Alt + Shift + G is OS X you can access previous version of the file.
15GB free:-
This space is shared across Drive, Gmail & Google Photos.
Mobile integration:-
You can work from any device, especially mobile.
Extended functionality via apps:-
Third party Drive applications running in Chrome or Android can add functionality like image/video editing, project management, flowchart creation, etc.
Indexes images:-
You can search images by object, place, or face when they have been added to your google photos collection. Google Assistant also helps you discover screenshots that would be archived, images that are not within the correct orientation and pictures that might work well as animations or albums.
Cheap for extra storage:-
$1.99 per 100GB, for up to 16TB.
02

DEMERIT OF GOOGLE DRIVE

No official client for Linux:-
Google as of yet has a client for Linux, leaving many who use the service forced to use third party apps or the webpage.
Data privacy not guaranteed:-
Data privacy is widely referred to as one among Google's weaknesses. Data shared through Google is presumably matched up with the user's profile inside other Alphabet inc. subsidiaries, and, thanks to the business model, used commercially.
Terms and Conditions allow Google to own anything on Google Drive:-
They can create derivative works, they will perform it, they will modify it, and that they can publish it at will. There are many other specific rights they take over your product. Read the Terms carefully and compare with ANY others.
No WebDAV, FTP or SFTP:-
It supports none of those common protocols used for access to network storage, which severely limits OS integration. You are forced to use the browser or a standalone client, which isn't possible on all systems.
Low bandwidth:-
Can't even upload all my files to this
Low sync speed
Very unreliable
Desktop client constantly crashes.
No universal Windows app
Doesn't integrate well with OS
02

Conclusion

In my humble opinion, though many people are attracted to centralized application so much because they find it difficult to adapt to change, but I am of the believe that in years to return , discentralized application will rule they world within the nearest future. In my topic of discussion, BitTorrent Speed will in no time become a trending application compare to Google drive.

Hello sir @yohan2on I have referenced they work as suggested.

The homework task requires you to be more original but the weight of other people's work you have used in your article is way too heavy than what your original content you have laid out in this article.

This now takes me to the minimum required words '300'. Your article is disqualified by that rule because most of the words in this article are not yours. Your article is 30% original and 75% plagiarised. This does not add up well.

Kindly work towards being original in your articles rather than relying on what others have to say.

Thank sir I will work on that
