This is my participation in a contest Dark Pools In Crypto organized in SteemitCryptoAcademy by @crypto-academy.
This is a very tough topic to talk about, but I will try my best to discuss this topic as much easy easy possible. You should only know about it, that dark pools are used by the large investor, without showing their real identity. I will tell you the reason behind it, that they do so. So let's start our article without wasting any time.
Discuss in your own words what Dark Pools are in cryptocurrency. And explain how it works? |

In crypto Dark pools refer to off exchanges platforms where big whale and institutional investors do trading. They do it so, because they try to avoid the effects of their trade on the currency.
Here the participants can trade significant quantities of digital assets without causing substantial price fluctuations or revealing their trading strategies to other market participants. This is the grease aim of creating crypto dark pools.
The term "dark" shows that the trading activities within these pools are hidden and not shownto the public, unlike traditional exchange. It typically operate by matching buy and sell orders from participants within the pool. The aim of dark pool in cryptocurrency is to provide a more controlled and discreet environment for trading. If it is not so, it would cause a huge volatility in the market.
For example if it is reveal that Elon musk has invested 5% of his wealth share at BTC or ETH, it's obvious it will move market to the top. Their are many other whales to who have a great influence in crypto market.
Do all crypto exchanges offer a dark pools? If yes, explain how does its dark pool work? What tokens are supported? Are there any fees attracted? And What are the requirements to get involved in dark pools trading on the platform? |

Not all the crypto exchanges offer a dark pools. If any exchange offers it I am unaware of that. I don't know which crypto exchanges are offering it. All the rules and regulations of dark pool depends on the platform they are offering. The requirements for it: it's fee and which tokens will it support, all these will depends on the well of that platform.
Mostly the dark pool are associated with common finincial markets. It comes to crypto space from this area. I think their will be some requirements to join that dark pool. You might need a huge amount to be the part of that pool. You will be given a secret and private access, so no one know you are trading with that specific coin.

I don't have any experience of trading in dark pool and the same I haven't seen them ever. I am always trading in real and authentic crypto decentralized exchanges. It might have the same procedure of creating your account, joining them and opening a trade there, but I am sorry I can't provide any screen of the dark pool website. I have only my account at binanace and non of the other account.

All the crypto dark pools are decentralized. Each crypto exchange is decentralized so it's very clear that it's dark pools will also be decentralized. Decentralized Dark pools works same as crypto exchanges. Non of the authority have control over it. They are free and sovereign. The world decentralized mean it must be free of any institute or state.

It'll be really interesting when I search for the dark pools in crypto. I heard about the dark web in a documentary, but I don't have any knowledge about it. Let's see what knowledge I gain about the topic.
