It's very interesting to show my entry in the engagement challenge of season 10 and week 2,in the most interesting topic which is all about bots at this platform and we will learn many more about bots, their worth at this platform ,their advantages and disadvantages and how this platform is combating with bots.

Steemit is a platform at which different users interact with each other by the means of voting and commenting and interaction of users with each other is the beauty of this platform.Users can upvote or downvote any post which they want and we all know that up voting increase the visibility of a post and down voting decrease the visibility of post. Now let's have a look on the voting bots and its voting system.
A voting bots are specially programmed automatic votes that are given to specific users on their content which they post at steemit.Specific users use bots means not everyone buy the votes from bots and bots are used by specific users which buy them.There are some users that want to gain more success,more visibility and more earning that's why they choose bots as a much better option and they go for voting bots.
There are third party services by which steemit users buy or lease voting bots.While purchasing or buying the voting bots there are different levels of services provided by the users and it includes different voting power as well as to promote the some specific audience or users by voting on their content from voting bots.
Some users take an advantage of voting bots and some are unhappy with voting bots because they think that voting bots is unfair and detrimental to steemit and it's users as well but regardless of all the controversies many people are still using voting bots but definitely as the steemit is growing day by day so with the passage of time there are different debates from different people on this topic.....
As I have already told that

There are different types of voting bots available which a user can buy or purchase and it totally depends upon the user the kind of bot which he or she wants to buy. Before the selection of a particular bot for receiving the paid votes a user have to pay the fees according to the demand of that particular bot and after that a user may be able to configure the bot to vote on his content which he is creating. The more the fees or the delegation a user gives to the bot the more he would be able to receive the paid votes from that bot.
If we talk about the working of voting bot then it's very simple and fair that after a blog or a post added to a blockchain by a user then voting bot seek for new post at the blockchain because it is a software which is programmed for this purpose specifically so after seeking for new post voting bot automatically votes on that post.
After receiving paid vote that post of user becomes more prominent at the platform and gets more visibility among every user because it attracts everyone due to its high worth.It could be a software or a programming of voting bot that trigger a bot whenever a new post adds at the blockchain
Steem power is directly related to voting power of a bot.As we all know that steem power is the measure of the influence that a user have at steem blockchain so the more steem power a user have the more voting power the bot have that's why the more there will be earning of a user due to a high voting power of bot because a voting bot basically adds it's voting power to the user's post while voting.
There is a complex algorithm that determines the amount of reward that a bid-bot user receive at his post.The major factors that determines the amount of reward a user receives are the votes are user already received at his post, the time counts a lot means the time that have been passed while adding the blog in a blockchain,the steem power a bid-bot user have in his steem account.
Voting bots sometimes check the quality content and sometimes they don't focus too much because they have to vote on a post automatically because it's a software which is specialised for automatic votes so either you are receiving vote from a bot or you are receiving vote on the basis of your high quality content you always increase the visibility of your post ,indirectly you want to achieve success at steemit.
It's very obvious that to use the voting bot have a benefit of increasing your visibility at the platform as well as to earning more rewards and earning rewards in a more potential way but it is also a kind of game with the platform because when you purchase bot or receive the paid votes then it lessens the chances of others to become more visible at the platform who are really honest and working fairly for the promotion of high quality content.
It can also be unfair with the Bid-bot user even in a way that there are different services provided by the third parties in which there are different bots which requires different fees from you and definitely the more voting power you want to purchase the more you have to pay and at the end sometimes you don't earn much rewards but you pay more fees to that bot to receive paid votes so in this way it's also becomes and unfair situation with the bid-bot user.
In my personal opinion using a bid-bot is a kind of artificial inflation of your rewards and artificial inflation of your content visibility that why I consider it detrimental for the platform and for the user but still it is allowed and people still like it or dislike it sometimes so depends upon the personal choices of the people.
If people think that they can afford the fees of bot and they just want to make their content more visible then they can go for this it's their personal choice but in my point of view it is not worthy to use bid-bot service at steemit.
Although it a controversial topic to use bid-bot service but still posts with bid-bot downvoted on Steemit so let's have a look on the reasons behind that why steemit punishes its users for upvoting with the bots.
Steemit tends to downvote the bid-bot users posts because the platform and the users here consider that using the bots is the artificial inflation and increase in the rewards and visibility of the post which is unfair with other users creating the more quality content here so bid-bot users post should be downvoted in this way.
Steemit tends to downvote the bid-bot users posts because people have a lot of negative remarks against the boat buying because they considered that when you buy vote then it means that rewards are not fairly distributing among the people and there is no difference between the users which are creating the low quality content and in the users which are creating the high quality content.
Bid-bot users are mostly seen as the low quality content creators at the platform that's why they are downvoted and are not liked by the users and in the form of downvoting it decrease their visibility of content of Bid-bot users.
- Steemit tends to downvote and punish bid-bot users because by using bots there is an inappropriate and disproportionate amount of rewards division occurs between users with the high quality content and with low quality content. It creates a kind of frustration among many of the users as well as cause decrease engagement between the users.
That was some of the important reasons for getting a downvote to bid-bot users
Steemit is combating with bid-bot accounts in the following ways that steem introduced:
Downvoting
Downvoting system is to decrease a visibility of certain post so when any user finds to do something illegal with the platform or finds to get support on a low quality content then definitely there is a downvoting system which can help us to decrease the visibility of that post and let us tell to others about the low quality content of that post.So by downvoting steemit is combating with bid-bot users also...
Curation rewards
Curation reward are some specific rewards that are given to users on the basis of their engagement with other users that have high quality content so in this way high quality content promoted a lot when users try to and curation rewards by engagement so low quality content automatically suppresses and high quality content automatically promotes.
Account reputation
Downvoting and reputation both are interlinked with each other.We all know that when a user get supports in the form of upvote then depending upon the worth of vote ,reputation automatically increases so in the same way depending up on the amount of downvote reputation automatically decreases so when there would be downvotes for the bid-bot users then their reputation will decrease and it means that they have a low influence at steemit in this way.
Stake-weighted voting
Stake-weighted voting is a system of voting which gives more votes to the accounts of users who have more staking.Users with more staking in this way becomes more likely to receive the votes on the base of their quality content either to receive the votes on the base of money as bot users receive paid votes.In this way bid-bot accounts influence becomes reduced day by day.
Awareness about bid-bot
Steemit is also combating with bid-bot accounts by spreading awareness about them among the users that how they are detrimental for the blockchain as well as spoiling the interaction and decentralization of the platform and giving the awareness to users about all the disadvantages in which we would also have a look further.
Following are the advantages of using the Bid-bots:
One of the most important and the main advantage of using the Bid-bot is to increase the visibility of a post when a bid-bot user automatically get a large vote from a bid-bot then its post become more visible to everyone so it's advantage of using bid-bot to artificially inflate the visibility of post.
Obviously when there would be automatically votes to bot users then there would be large amount of rewards and rewards amount would depends upon the amount of delegation that user has been given to the bot so indirectly there would be increase in the rewards of users which is another advantage of using bot.
Voting bots are more easy to use so it would be more convenient to use the bot for earnings because you don't need to interact much with others and you can save your time in this way and can manage your time in a good way so it's a good time management way as well as convenient way to work and to earn.
Following are the disadvantages of using the Bid-bots:
- One of the main disadvantage of using the bot is to see a lot of low quality content and to see a reduction in the high quality content because high quality content creators that demotivated when thy see that others are more prominent and visible to platform which are not actually or authentically working and producing quality content so a kind of negative feedback achieved in this way.
Bot increase centralisation in the platform because votes starts to distribute unevenly and in an inappropriate way among the users and the users who afford more fees in this way able to get more upvotes so it's a spoiling of decentralization of this platform.
Bot users makes the platform less trustworthy for most of the users because there is a negative perception created in this way among the users that the platform only supports the users on the base of money and not supports the users on the base of high quality content so it's an unfair system and people starts to make the platform less trustworthy.
That was all about some of the advantages and disadvantages of using the Bid-bots

I agree with your this point. Actually, by the use of the voting bots, the votes are limited to a particular circle of the users and thus other content creators who are doing hard work and publishing high quality content are still missing the huge support. This thing seemed to be a kinds centralization of voting system. Organic and original engagement is the appropriate and best way to grow on the platform.
