Hello every one i hope we have been learning about crypto so far in the crypto academy steemit community, this is another home work post given by @yohan2on about comparing centralized and decentralized application.

If you want to know what centralized and decentralized application is then visit here anyway in this post i am going to be comparing Steemit which is a decentralized app and Facebook which is a centralized app.

First of all we are going to be explaining what is steemit then facebook which later on we compare them so without wasting your time let's begin.

Steemit

Steemit is a blockchain website for blogging and socializing that rewards it's users with the cryptocurrency steem for publishing and curating content.

Merits of Steemit

1). Crypto rewards which means they reward their users with crypto currencies such as sbd, tron and steem.

2). Less fake accounts which means there are less fake accounts in steemit than in other social media maybe it is because of the process of creating an account which is not easy.

Demerits of Steemit

1). Slow speed is the only downside in the
Steemit website maybe because it has not been upgraded or accepted in some countries.

2). Late citation from the steemit curator can some times be annoying, some times it takes 2 or more days to curate.

Facebook

Facebook is an American online social media that connects you with friends, families and people from around the world, it was founded by mark zukerberg.

Merits ofriendbook

1). Fast news because of how popular it is that is why mainstream news can't do without Facebook.

2). Facebook users ranges from the young to old which I think it is because of it's simple interface and layout.

Demerits of Facebook

1). Scams is on the rise in Facebook maybe that is why I left Facebook because there are a lot of fake things happing.

2). Fake accounts are on the rise lately, it has gotten so bad that one person can have like 100 accountz on Facebook.
