Centralized social media

There has been a recent movement #deletefacebook where users have complained about Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg have been leading to leaking of users information users privacy is an important factor that every individual is concerned about and it has been a leading limitation in the centralized platform it draws a major concern for users to know all their social activities/information are somehow been monitor by another third party group this has lead to users uncomfortably using such platform as they fear they are always been monitored.

In reality, many restrictions and rules are governing centralized social platform that limits users mode of freedom of expressing their views which can lead to complete blocking or suspension from using this centralized social networks.

Users' data have sometimes been sold to other large companies which have been used for attracting advert and generating revenue for such companies.

In general, a centralized social platform limits users' freedom of expression whereby certain groups of people are solely responsible for the regulation of such a platform.

Decentralized social media

The introduction of decentralized social media has completely addressed the limitation encountered in centralized social networking here users need not worry about their information getting sold to large companies no restrictions on what to post which means there is complete freedom of expression in decentralized social networking no single entity is bound to control the regulation of how users will be sharing their posts.

A decentralized platform like #steem has been a passive source of income for thousands of people around the world today as on this platform people can share content and get a reward for their shared contents.

Difference

A. Privacy/security; in decentralized social media like #steem users information is control under their custody which means all access keys for accessing account are not handle by any other third party, also it's quite impossible for users to account to be hacked on decentralized social means security is very strong.

While for centralized social media there have been several cases where users' accounts have either been hacked or blocked.

B. Regulation/control; in decentralized social media the platform is not been regulated by a single body.

While in centralized social media rules and regulations can be set by some individuals which must be adhered to.

C. Rewards; users get rewarded for performing tasks in decentralized social networks when they share content.

Although in centralized social media users can also generate traffic to their website.

Both social platforms are very important looking at what the future holds for the two platforms I believe decentralized social networking is the future of social networking.

Since in decentralized social media users, security is taken in high concentration whereby hacking or having access to another user's account can be very difficult also no info of users is leaked and decentralized social platform is a space for everyone to freely express themselves without fear of being locked out.

What I enjoy in #steemit as a decentralized social media and see it as being the best over Facebook and Twitter is;

I get to share my experience/idea as a blogger and get rewarded over the years I've engaged in different blogging platform where I barely earn for writing content on discovering steemit social platform I get to be a reward for doing what I love also I meet lots of people who share interesting content relevant to my field of study and I learn daily from reading other people's post.

Aside from the rewards part on steemit, I love the fact that I can use the platform token as an investment strategy and increase my earning portfolio by staking or buying more steem tokens for future price increases.

In term of security, steemit has proven to be super secure, in the past year, there has been some major attack on Twitter where users account were hacked and used to exploit innocent users.

I've always had a passion for online blogging I managed a WordPress blogging platform where I share interesting content I've been publishing posts for months without getting approval from google Adsen which made my work very stressful as I couldn't earn much back then.

When I find out about steemit it became a different story I could gladly share my posts and earn some reward.

This reward has helped me gain financial freedom as a student I no longer depend on my parents for a monthly feeding allowance.
