Greetings, Steemians of SCA, how are you all? This is the third week of the Steemit Engagement Challenge season 8. Today I am here to take part in the beautiful contest organized by SCA. The topic of this contest is "Steem and Tron Integration."

What do you know about Steem and TRX Integration? What are its purposes?

Steem and Tron intergration was a great step by the both blockchains. As we all know, Steem is a blockchain-based protocol that aims to create decentralized social media platforms. One main platform on the Steem blockchain is Steemit, which gives rewards to quality content creators in the form of STEEM, SBD, and SP.

On the other hand, TRON is also a decentralized blockchain-based protocol with smart contract capability. As Steem blockchain's native token is STEEM, TRON blockchain's native token is TRX. The merger of Steem and Tron took place in February 2020. It was a great integration into the blockchain world.

The purpose of this integration was not only to give extra TRX rewards to the Steemit users, but also to bring Steemit users into the Tron ecosystem and to bring Tron blockchain users onto Steemit so that Tron users could also share their quality content on Steemit. This was really beneficial for both blockchains.

The biggest benefit of this integration was that many Steemit users joined the Tron ecosystem and many Tron users joined the Steem blockchain. After this integration, every new user joining Steemit is given Tron keys along with Steem keys, which we get when creating a Steemit account.

What is the ratio of TRX tokens on our payouts? Also, give the history of this ratio (how it changed time by time).

When this integration happened, the ratio of TRX tokens on your post-payout balance was 1 SP = 1 TRX. For example, if we claim your 50 SP reward from our post payout, we will also be awarded 50 TRX tokens. The average TRX amount is equal to our SP reward amount.

If we set our post payout to 100% power up, we get extra TRX rewards, meaning we get double TRX, and if we set our post payout to 50% SBD/50% SP, then we will be rewarded TRX equal to SP. But for the past few months, the ratio of TRX rewards has changed.

On October 13, 2022, the Steemit team gave a new update about the integration project between Steem and Tron. In which they announced that almost 23 million TRX tokens have been invested in Steemit. They also announced a new ratio of TRX tokens for our post-payments.

In this update, the amount of TRX was reduced by half; the new ratio was 1 SP = 0.5 TRX, which means we will now be rewarded with half of our SP reward. For example, if we claim 10 SP on our post payment, we will be rewarded with 5 TRX tokens.

Also, we get TRX tokens for our curation rewards. This time also, the ratio is the same; in the past, when we claimed 15 SP of our curation reward, we got 15 TRX tokens as a reward. Since the reward of TRX tokens is now half gone, we get 7 TRX tokens on our 15 SP curation reward.

That means curation rewards give us the added benefit of TRX tokens, which is great. So this is the overall information that I know about TRX tokens on our post payout, I also shared the history of the ratio and how it changes over time.

What are the ways to claim and withdraw the TRX rewards from Steemit Wallet?

Claiming TRX tokens is very easy; we can claim them very easily in just two steps. Below are the steps.

• First, you need to click on the wallet, as shown in the screenshot below.

• In the second step, we have to click on the "Redeem Rewards" option, as shown in the screenshot below. So this way we can claim our STEEM, SP, SBD, and TRX rewards.

Some ways to withdraw TRX

There are many ways by which we can withdraw our TRX from our Steemit wallet; below are some of the ways.

• Crypto Exchanges

The first way to withdraw our TRX from our Steemit wallet is with the help of crypto exchanges like Binance. We can easily withdraw TRX from our Steemit wallet by pasting our TRX address from Binance.

• Wallets

Another way is that we can also connect our Steemit wallet to our Tronlink wallet, and that way we can easily withdraw our TRX from our Steemit wallet. We can also connect our Steemit wallet to other wallets like Trust, MataMask, etc.

• P2P

Another way is that we can easily withdraw TRX tokens from our wallet and put them in another person's wallet. Users can easily send their TRX tokens to each other without any hassle. So these are some ways to withdraw TRX tokens.

Give a complete guideline on the best way to link an external wallet with the Steemit Wallat to claim TRX tokens.

As I said above, we can link our Steemit wallet to an external wallet. So in this question, I will connect my Steemit wallet to my Tronlink Pro wallet. Below are the steps.

Procedure

In the first step, I clicked on the Tronlink Pro wallet in my mobile, then I clicked on the "Import wallet" option because I wanted to link my Steemit wallet to the Tronlink Pro wallet.

Now I have to put my Tron private key in the box; as shown in the screenshot below, I copied my Tron private key and pasted it in the box, then clicked on the "Next step" option. Now I had to set a password, name, etc. So I set all these things and clicked on the "Import private key" option.

As I clicked on this option, my Steemit wallet successfully connected to the Tronlink Pro wallet. In this way, we can connect the Steemit wallet to an external wallet.

Yes, I have had some issues with TRX rewards in the past year. I saw that my TRX rewards were not added to my Tronlink wallet. But then the Steemit team guided users not to worry about their TRX rewards as they would be added soon. So after that, this problem is solved, thanks to the Steemit team.

Now, if we talk about the benefit of this integration, it is great for the users as it gives some additional rewards to the quality content creators in the form of TRX tokens, which is a very popular cryptocurrency. TRX rewards give extra motivation to quality content creators.

It brings Steem Blockchain users to Tron Blockchain, and Tron Blockchain users to Steem Blockchain. This means that this integration is very beneficial for both blockchains. Because when two blockchains merge together, they can produce better results.

Another benefit of this is that it helps people join the higher clubs as the TRX token is well priced and some users only withdraw their TRX rewards instead of their STEEM rewards, thus people use the TRX rewards and try to increase the Steem Power as much as possible.
