My review :
Yes we can change the default 14 period by reducing or increasing it.
- Reducing and Increasing are related to the trader's strategy you had to explain it.
In order to filter RSI signals you need to set your RSI settings to 200 periods.
- I do not think that it is the best solution for filtering signals, because by choosing a duration of 200, the indicator loses its oscillation characteristic and thus its effectiveness, there are other indicators that need this period.
- For the long term, we prefer to smooth the RSI with a length in general of 21 or 25.
