in SteemitCryptoAcademylast year (edited)

Hello steemit friends everywhere, how are you? Hopefully all friends are healthy and fine. This is my first post in the community Steemit Crypto Academy. I tried to enter the Steemit Engagement Challenge - S7W6 contest with the theme Careful, Has your Steemit account been hacked?. I don't have enough knowledge about crypto steemit even though I have joined the steemit platform for almost three years. However, I continued to look for information and read various references so that now I understand quite a bit.

Have you had your Steemit account hacked? What do you think about dubious links offering rewards? Give us your opinion.

As the legal owner of a steemit account, of course I will do everything to protect my assets. Even though the steemit account still doesn't have many assets, I have to be careful about maintaining its security. Hearing the phrase hacking of an account, I immediately thought that it was unlikely that my account that had not yet produced anything extraordinary would be hacked. To hack an account in steemit, I think the criminal will definitely be looking for a large account and have something tempting for them.

At least the hacker will look for accounts that have Steem Power above 50K. While my account only has very little steam power. However, from some of the information I got, it turns out that the hackers are not only targeting accounts with large steem power, but they are also targeting smaller accounts. Hacking an account is certainly a very bad thing for everyone, especially the official account owner. By hacking our account they can do anything that can harm us and other steemians.

When hacked, usually the account owner himself cannot access it to open the account. But I'm a little comfortable and grateful to the steemi team who already have a very good security system so that they can save steemian from the threat of hacking by irresponsible parties. Thank God my own account is still safe from the hack. I hope that things will not happen that can harm my account.

To avoid our account being hacked, we must have adequate knowledge of locks and security systems. By having this understanding, we can quickly anticipate if a problem occurs with our account. So we don't depend on other people to recover our account if it gets hacked. Even if there is a hack we still ask for help from the steemit team.

What are your recommendations to prevent your account from being stolen or hacked? Give us your opinion

I have some recommendations that might be taken into consideration for steemit friends who can prevent our accounts from being stolen and hacked. The main thing you have to do is secure your password and don't share it with other people, even those closest to us. You can save passwords on your hardware or Google account. You also try not to save account passwords on your smartphone and don't share them on any social media platforms.

If your account is offering something suspicious, such as prizes or steem, don't click on the link because it could be a trap for you. You also don't use your active and owner keys on any platform except for steemit wallet. Another way to avoid keeping our account safe is to continue to seek adequate information and knowledge about the rules from the steemit team. There are so many ways or methods used by hackers to hack our steemit account. Therefore we are always vigilant and ready to anticipate this. So the security of our account is in our own hands. So, never click phishing to get free gifts from irresponsible parties.

I also invite friends @lavanyalakshman, @nadiaturrina, @reinamia, @kouba01, @ripon0630, @marpa, @pelon53, and others to join this contest.

Regards,
@fadlymatch

Great post about the importance of securing a Steemit account and being cautious of potential hacking threats. It's commendable that you are taking steps to educate yourself and protect your account. Your recommendations for preventing hacking, such as securing passwords and being wary of suspicious links, are excellent advice. Keep up the good work and stay vigilant!

Greetings my friend @fadlymatch,

congratulations on your first post in the Steemit Crypto Academy. Your post highlights the importance of account security and the need for steemians to be careful of suspicious links. Your efforts to gain knowledge about Steemit is appreciated and we hope you continue to share your insights with us.

To prevent our accounts from being hacked, we must keep our keys secure and not share them with anyone, even those closest to us. It is recommended to keep our Steem key offline and in document form, and not to save passwords on our smartphones or share them on social media platforms. We must also be cautious of dubious links that offer rewards, as they could be phishing attempts to steal our account information.

Best of luck

Regards ,

Saludos amigo!
