Greetings to the entire Steemit Crypto Academy community, we have reached the fourth week of this season 13 Steemit Engagement Challenge. Welcome everyone, we are grateful to the users who have shown their loyalty and commitment, taken the time to participate in the challenges of this community, to all of you thank you. We also encourage all those users who have not participated in the community challenges to join and become part of the Steemit Crypto Academy.

In this fourth week of Steemit Crypto Academy, we bring a topic where we will discuss what Short Squeeze are and how they are formed.

Contest theme: Short Squeeze

In cryptocurrency markets, due to their high volatility, short squeezes are common.

Short squeezes occur when short sellers bet that the price of the asset will fall, but the opposite happens and the price suddenly starts to rise, where many traders get trapped and exit quickly in order to cover their positions and avoid further losses.

Experienced traders look for potential Short Squeeze and issue long orders to profit from the sudden rise in the price of the asset in order to make a profit. It is a strategy that should not be used by novice traders, because they can make losses by getting caught in a sudden market movement.

Contest Guidelines

Post your articles in the Steemit Crypto Academy community. Participation time is between Monday, November 6th, 2023 at 00:00 UTC and Sunday, November 12th, 2023 at 23:59 UTC.
The article should be at minimum 500 words. You can write more. Your article must be free of any form of plagiarism.
Your article title must be: Steemit Crypto Academy Contest / S13W4 - Short Squeeze. Add the tag #cryptoacademy-s13w4 and other relevant tags.
Participants must be appropriately following #club5050 or #club75 or #club100.
Participants must be verified and active users on the platform.
The community moderators would be leaving quality assessments on your articles and probable upvotes.
In addition, your article must get at least 10 upvotes and 5 valid comments to count as valid in the contest, so ensure you interact with other users' entries. Do not be involved in vote-buying.

Rewards

SC01 would be checking on the entire 7 participating communities and upvoting outstanding content. Upvote is not guaranteed for all articles. Kindly take note.

At the end of the week, we would nominate top 3 users that had performed well in the contest and they would be eligible for votes from SC01/SC02.

Important Notice: The nomination of the top 3 users in our community is not based on good grades alone, it includes their general engagements (quality and quantity of their interactions with other users' articles) to measure the overall performance. Also note that generally, you can only make one post per day in the Steemit Engagement Challenge.

Conclusion

As a trader you have to be very careful with these sudden moves to the upside, where many short traders can get caught and make losses in a highly volatile market.

Los Short Squeeze ocurren cuando los vendedores en corto apuestan que el precio caerá del activo, pero ocurre todo lo contrario y el precio comienza a subir repentinamente, donde muchos comerciantes quedan atrapados y salen rápidamente con la finalidad de cubrir sus posiciones y evitar pérdidas mayores.

Los comerciantes experimentados buscan potenciales Short Squeeze y emiten órdenes en largo para beneficiarse del aumento repentino del precio del activo y así obtener ganancias. Es una estrategia que no debe ser usada por comerciantes principiantes, porque pueden obtener pérdidas, al quedar atrapados en un movimiento brusco del mercado.
