INTRODUCTION

Hello 👋 there amazing authors how are you all doing I hope all is well and you all are enjoying your day today I will be taking part in a contest organised by dove11 with the theme "The Homeless"

So first of all the introduction of the story has already been given by the organiser of this contest which will be the first paragraph then I will continue it in other to give the full story so sit back read and enjoy.

THE INTRODUCTION BY @DOVE11

Sarah worked as a part-time cook after college every day in this restaurant. She was surprised when she saw this man sitting on the footpath in front of the restaurant that evening. He was a middle-aged man, around 53, in a worn-out pair of trousers and a shirt.

---

He was shivering but sitting unconcerned with the surroundings, looking at the sky. Then she shrugged her shoulders, thinking he was probably a homeless guy who had nowhere to go.

---

She felt for this man and gave him some leftover food after her shift that night. Then she saw him often sitting right in front of the restaurant, at the same spot, and felt pity for him. The man acknowledged her kindness every time she gave him food, and she also felt a sense of satisfaction.

---

He always said, "How kind of you, young lady."

---

That night, Sarah's shift was finally over at 10. She took off her apron and threw it in her cupboard. But before leaving for the house, she went into the kitchen to get the leftover food for John, the homeless.

---

As she stepped out of the door, she felt surprised because John was not there at his usual place. Tonight he was standing by the wall and gestured to Sarah to come close to him.

---

For a moment, Sarah hesitated a little. John was always happy to see her, accept the food she offered, and chat with her about her restaurant, her boss, and her education. But today, she thought he was behaving differently.

THE CONTINUATION OF THE STORY BY @RADLEKING

As Sarah was approaching John she was confused so she stopped and wanted to go back inside because the light ray coming from the angle were John was standing was too bright 🌅 and Sarah was unable to see clearly is the man standing was John.

---

So Sarah wanted to go back inside the the homeless man called her again and said "please come it's me John your friend" and then Sarah said as she approached him "why are you standing there".

---

And surprisingly when Sarah reach where John was standing Sarah was shocked at what she saw to the extent that the left over food that she pack fell to the ground as behold the poor homeless John that she knew didn't look like the person she has been feeding for some days now.

Sarah stood there and was speechless as John wasn't wearing worn out trousers 👖 and dirty shirt rather he was in a nice and expensive suit and standing behind the Range Rover special vehicle SV, and it was the head light of the car that prevented Sarah from seeing John at first when she came out.

So Sarah was very surprised and she was just standing there wondering and couldn't believe her eyes 👀 then John said to her my friend I hope that you are on your shift now please can I take you out for dinner 🍽️, still Sarah was unable to say a word.

John beg Sarah to calm down that he is going to explain everything to her then finally Sarah followed John in his car then John took her to a five star hotel were they had dinner.

Then John said to Sarah that the reason why she pretended to be a poor homeless man is because growing up I have never experienced real kindness, John also added saying that people only respect him because of his wealth.

---

So Sarah still very confused asked him what he does for a living then John smiled and said I am a business man base outside the state and I deal with the importation and exportation of luxury cars and I'd choose to come here because I knew no one will recognise me he added.

John thank Sarah for the food as well as the gist John also said that it has been a while since he had a normal conversation with anyone and that she didn't believe that she would want to have anything to do with a poor road side begger.

---

And since John knew that Sarah was having a tough time coping with school and being able to pay for her own bills so John gave Sarah an envelope ✉️ along side with his business card and said your kindness deserves to be rewarded.

---

Then there both finished eating the John took Sarah in his expensive car and drop her off by her house and said to her anytime you need anything call me and when you are done with college just let me know because I think one of my company branch could be in need of a manager.

---

Sarah was very happy as she was in her final year in college and it was a dream come true as she was thinking of dropping out from college because of the fees which she couldn't afford.

After John left Sarah went inside her apartment with the little envelope which was ver light and thin alongside with John's business card so when she opened the envelope behold it was a cheque of 1 million dollars then Sarah jumped up and couldn't believe her eyes then she called John through his business card that he gave her to thank him.

Then John replied her on the phone saying "Do not mention young lady after all you were the first person who showed me kindness"

CONCLUSION

This will be the end of my entry and I will like to thank you all for your time and I sincerely hope that you all have learned something from it that it is also good to be nice to people around us.
