I believe listening to experienced people in any field is really useful. I think that's one of the things the story captures. We often make mistakes out of naivete, but there's always a gem of advice to get us out of trouble during second and third rounds.
That's what Viola learned while doing her tasks. I'm sure next time she'll execute with much more wisdom.
