RE: Read minds... / Gedanken lesen...

in Dream Steem2 years ago

Yet thoughts are free. Free from surveillance and control, free from limits and restrictions, free from guidelines and rules.

Thoughts are free, yes, but the fact that they are free from external observation seems to me a delusion. All the thoughts that come to our mind, or have already been in someone's head, or will be credited to our account in a Large stationery book, where not only actions are taken into account. In fact, it turns out that we are free only when we think in accordance with the law, and not hypocritical in deeds and words, with our fingers crossed in our pocket.

That seems a little too short-sighted to me...: "evil" thoughts do not automatically make someone a bad person. I think. On the contrary: the realisation that good people are also capable of negative and criminal thoughts - and yet remain good people - should put your objection into perspective. If thinking was only okay in socially predetermined ways, there would not have been many innovations, but also not many social upheavals.

In general, I think that nowadays there is a need for more freedom and less supposed security. As far as freedom of thought is concerned, it should definitely be inviolable!

I am saying that this freedom is imaginary, but the desire to have it is understandable.
