PATIENCE- The Magical Pot
I remembered a story of a person who was in deep trouble due to his poverty. As it often happens, one day, he was so disappointed with life, he jumped into the river to commit suicide.
As fate would have it, at the same time, a very knowledgeable saint who knew how to swim saw him drowning and jumped into the river to save his life. In a short while, the saint brought that person to the shore and saved his life.
When that person regained consciousness after a while, the saint asked him the reason for committing suicide. The person told him all his problems. The saint told him that he had a miraculous pot with the special feature that it fulfilled all our wishes. Whatever you ask from it, that pot can give it to you.
That man was eager to see that pot and wanted to have that pot.
The saint said, "I can give this pot to you. But for this, you will have to serve my monastery for two years."
The person was impatient, so he interrupted the saint and said, "I will do it."
The saint said, "Listen to me patiently that if you serve my people for five years, then I will tell you how to make a similar magical pot. But you should remember that if the pot is broken, all the things obtained from it will disappear immediately, but if you know how to make it, you can rebuild another pot."
That person wanted to become rich quickly, so he said, "Saint Sir, I will serve you for two years and take this pot from you. I will take care of it throughout my life. I have to fulfill my wishes as soon as possible."
The saint said, "Okay, as you wish, but you are a young man, so I suggest you serve us for five years, then you will have no problem even if this pot breaks by mistake, you can make it again."
But the person was in a hurry, so he served the saint for two years, and after the time was over, the saint gave him the miraculous pot. The person came to his home with the pot. He asked for a lot of money from the pot, and as soon as he got money, he built a big house. Now he had good clothes, gold, and diamonds. He ate the best food, owned several cars, and stored the best wine. He kept asking for whatever he desired and built an empire.
But as we know, some of us can't stand money and fame easily, as money brings bad habits. He also had a few bad habits. He started taking drugs and too much alcohol. Once, while drunk, he broke the pot by mistake. As soon as the pot broke everything he had gotten through magic disappeared immediately.
Now his addiction was over, and he started regretting that he was in a hurry. If he had served the saint for three more years, he could have learned the method of making a similar pot. But due to a lack of patience, he chose the shortcut. So, as I said in the beginning, most people try to get all the happiness in a hurry. They do things in a hurry, not with patience.
So why are we in a hurry?
If we can get the maximum benefit by completing all the formalities according to the rules applicable in Germany or America, India or Nigeria, Venezuela or Spain, we all can wait patiently and follow all the rules of copyright law and enjoy to the fullest once all is done successfully.
Very nice! Even if I'm not always so much in favour of following all the rules, I do find some things quite important. Especially when it comes to details like this. However, the decisive factor is not so much my (poorly developed) patience as my understanding of the law ;-))
👍
Wow... Well said. Yes you are absolutely right. We have to keep our patients to get success in any field but we don't do so.
Thanks @chant, I appreciate your encouragement!
