The Beginning

Fellow members of Motivation Story Community. Today the Motivation Story community has officially introduced a new contest, named the Involvement Contest. The idea for this contest had been around since the beginning of April. The idea was then communicated on Discord servers and was warmly welcomed by the server members. What is Community Contest, who can participate, and another related questions have been answered in this official article.

How did the idea for this contest come about? Actually, this contest is not something new. This is an adaptation of what I've seen take effect on one of the servers I've joined. On the server, they select 5 people who are most actively involved in the conversation and reward them. Then I am now adopting it to the Motivation Story community, the goal is to make the server more "alive". At first, @steemadi, as the Founder of the Motivation Story community, agreed that the community will provide a total of 10 STEEMs for 3 winners, but over time we finally decided to increase the number of winners and of STEEMs.

Social and Economic Nature of the Contest

This contest tries to combine the social and economic nature of the Steem Blockchain which is executed via the Steemit platform. The social nature can be seen from the need for members to reach a certain rank, this makes server members more actively involved in conversations on the server. Meanwhile, the economic nature is implemented in the necessity to not perform any Powering Down during the last month, and the minimum SP requirements.

In addition, members also required to write to the community with a minimum number of posts for only 1 article in the last week of the current month, which means, for those who have not submitted articles this week, there are still 3 days left (until Saturday 1st May, 23.59 West Indonesia Time).

The Future

It is planned that this activity will be carried out periodically. Currently we are planning to do it monthly, but it is possible that we will do it on a bi-weekly basis.

Several other things are also very likely to change in the future implementation. Including the terms, and how to determine the winners. And of course the number of STEEMs to be given.

We will probably announce the second edition in early May. So make sure you are there to see the progress of this contest.

Awalnya

Kawan-kawan anggota komunitas Motivation Story. Hari ini komunitas Motivation Story secara resmi memperkenalkan sebuah Kontes baru, diberi nama Kontes Keterlibatan. Ide tentang kontes ini telah muncul sejak awal bulan April. Ide itu kemudian dikomunikasikan di server Discord dan disambut hangat oleh para anggota server. Apa itu Kontest Komunitas, siapa saja bisa berpartisipasi, dan berbagai pertanyaan lain tentangnya telah dijawab dalam artikel resmi ini.

Bagaimana munculnya ide Kontes Komunitas? Sebenarnya Kontes ini bukanlah sesuatu yang baru. Ini adalah adaptasi dari apa yang telah saya lihat berlaku di salah satu server yang saya sertai. Di server tersebut mereka memilih 5 orang yang paling aktif terlibat dalam perbincangan dan menghadiahi mereka. Lalu saya mencoba mengadopsikannya ke komunitas Motivation Story, tujuannya adalah agar server semakin “hidup”. Tadinya saya dan @steemadi selaku Founder komunitas Motivation Story bersepakat untuk memberikan total 10 STEEM bagi 3 orang pemenang, tetapi seiring waktu akhirnya kami memutuskan menambah jumlah pemenang dan jumlah STEEM.

Sifat Sosial dan Ekonomi

Kontes ini mencoba menggabungkan sifat sosial dan ekonomi yang dimiliki Steem Blockchain yang dieksekusi via platform Steemit. Sifat sosial terlihat dari keharusan untuk mencapai rank tertentu, sehingga ini membuat para anggota server semakin aktif terlibat dalam perbincangan di server. Sementara sifat ekonomi terimplementasikan ke dalam keharusan untuk tidak melakukan Power Down selama sebulan terakhir dan syarat minimum SP.

Selain itu juga diharuskan untuk menulis ke komunitas dengan jumlah minimal tulisan hanya 1 tulisan pada minggu terakhir bulan berjalan, yang artinya, bagi mereka yang belum mengirimkan tulisan pada minggu ini, masih ada 3 hari lagi (sampai Sabtu tanggal 1 Mei pukul 23.59 WIB).

Masa Depan

Direncanakan kegiatan ini akan dilakukan secara berkala, saat ini kita melihat untuk melakukannya setiap bulan, tetapi bisa saja nanti kita akan melakukannya secara dua mingguan.

Beberapa hal lain juga sangat mungkin akan berubah pada pelaksanaaan di masa depan. Termasuk syarat-syarat dan bagaimana menentukan pemenang. Dan tentu saja jumlah STEEM yang dibagikan.

Kita mungkin akan mengumumkan perubahan untuk edisi ke dua pada awal bulan Mei. Jadi pastikan kalian ada di sana untuk melihat perkembangan kontes ini.
