Here in Africa, many people thinks that listening to music is a waste of time as such, they don't care about the existence of music. Today, let see what music has for us as individual.

The soothing power of music is well-established. Music has a perfect match link to our emotions, so it can be an extremely effective management stress tool. Listening to music can have a tremendously relaxing effect on our minds, souls and bodies, especially slow, quiet classical music.

This type of music can have a beneficial effect on our physiological functions, slowing the pulse and heart rate, lowering blood pressure, and decreasing the level of stress hormones.

As music can absorb our attention,it acts as distraction at the same time it help to explore emotions, which can be serve as a great aid to meditation, preventing the mind wandering.

Preferably, music varies widely among individual, so you're the only one who can decide on the type of music you go for and the one that is suitable for each mood. But even if you don't usually listen to classical music it may be worth giving it a try when selecting the most calming music.

When people are stressed, there's a tendency to avoid actively listening to music. Perhaps it feels like a waste of time,not helping to achieve anything. But as we know, productivity increases when stress is reduce, so this is another area where you can gain vast rewards. All what is require is to begin a step .

To incorporate a music in a busy life, try playing a nice music on CDs in the car, or probably, have a radio on when you're in bath or shower. Have a portable music with you when taking a walk with dog, or make use of the stereo on instead puting TV.

Singing (or shouting) along can be also
a great release of tension, and karaoke is very enjoyable for some extrovert! Calming music before bedtime promote peace and relaxation and help to induce sleep.

Music has been used for years to treat I'llness and restore harmony between mind and body. Music has the potential benefits on man once listening to;

  • Music can help reduce both the sensation and distress of both chronic pains and postoperative pain.

  • Listening to a music on headphones can be so helpful to bring down stress and anxiety.

  • Among nursery students, music can be beneficial by reducing burnout and improve mood.

  • Listening to music can relieve depression and increase self-esteem rating in elderly people.

  • Music therapy significantly reduces emotional distress and boosts quality of life among adult Cancer patient.

However, not all peaceful or "New Age" music works for everyone. Music with no structure can be very irritating even unsettling. Gentle music with a familiar Melody more often is comforting. But search around to find what produces a sense of calm, familiarity, and centeredness for you as individual.

My dear you are right music is a food to the soul. I like listening cool music when i want to sleep. But if it is when I'm in pains, I prefer Christian songs to comfort myself.

But listening music with headphones or earphone is no no to me. Because it makes me uncomfortable.
