Steemit Community Pantry Week #02: Feeding and Grocery Giving Supported by Steem Community
Today we are able to proceed to our family's activity supported by steem community, the Steemit Community Pantry after being busy from labor, giving birth, hospitalization, recovery and a lot of transitions as new parents.
My wife @georgie84 planned long before to continue the program once we recover from giving birth. And today is the second week of our program, steemit community pantry for the less fortunate neighborhood.
Mama was the one who takes care of baby steemian Evangeline while me and wife @georgie84 busy with the program. It feels really good to have a family helping us with our needs. I am the lucky one!
With the help as well of @lealtafaith and @sweetspicy we are able to serve 24 families with grocery pack contains coffee, noodles (misua/odong), sardines, sugar, salt, milo, and some snacks. Two of the recipients were not able to come due to mobility problem so we just send it directly to them in their houses.
@sweetspicy still the one who went to the grocery store to buy what we need and also to get snacks for them. We split the total amount spent for this activity.
These people are happy that we are finally back because every little help they got from us is already significant for them. The smile on their faces and words of gratitude still one of the nicest thing to heard from them and also our gratitude to the community that we always have in steemit.
Before they received their food packs, we asked them to write their names so we could estimate and count how many families are able to receive and after that they are able to get their snacks.
They aren't surprise anymore how we sustain by giving them foods because they already know that we have this community who are helping us to help them.
Aside from the grocery giving, we made sure that the kids get their snacks first. The last time we had the program, we were not able to prepare foods for them but this time they are the first priority.
They were playing when @lealtafaith invited them to get snacks. Their happiness running to the area made us all very excited to give them food.
After snacks, they are happy to go back to play.☺️
Thank you all for the continuous support and friendship everyday.
Love,
@steemitcebu

Children are the future of the future so we must always keep a close eye on them so that in the future they will be educated in the right way and bring the welfare of the society.
Exactly!😊
#welovekindness ☺️😊
Kindness is a great quality. We should all be kind. We must be especially kind to those who are underprivileged in our society. Moreover, we should show kindness to all creatures, including animals.
This is a very good activity, by making humanitarian support activities to help underprivileged people and children. Keep up the spirit of making humanitarian programs. Good luck My Friend @steemitcebu.
