Be someone's strength. Be someone's inspiration. Be someone's reason to never give up.

Hello steemians, today I want to be an instrument of inspiration of goodness and kindness. I hope soon you can share here at steemit your chain of goodness and act of kindness.

Let me share todays activity, this actually is my second time to be in the island. And honestly I'd still wanna come back and do charity works here. Steemit has been a part of my journey in meeting people in different walks of life. I have learned that in the simplest kindness you show to people can be the greatest happiness you can ever give them.

We started our journey by riding a fast craft to the island, in a matter of 12 minutes you can already reach Olango Island.

Good thing my husband and kids came along coz we need extra hand in carrying all the things we prepare for the children and family of Olango. My husband get to carry the heavy ones and we helped in carrying the others. Despite the heat of the sun they were very excited to be a part of this activity.

As we arrive the island the generous and hospitable couple @roesevillariasa and @julyoosto prepared a delicious meal. Seafoods were cooked and prepared with love. Who would not get bloated in this kind of meal. Well I will never get tired of eating seafoods.

Right after finishing our meal we started packing and segregating the slippers. We prepared sliced bread with ham sandwich spread, we prepared the slippers too. Our very good friend @traderpaw who bought the slippers already wrote names to the slippers. We also mixed orange juice to pair their sandwich.

We asked the children to line up specially those children we already listed for the sizes. It was easier to distribute since the slippers had names already. We handed their slippers with sandwich and juice. For the children who didn't get the chance to be listed we gave them clothes.

Me, @fabio417 and @rosevillariasa were the busiest that time. We didn't want the kids to wait long because it was so hot. We handed as fast as we can, as I looked at some kids a lot of them are really small compare to their age. Many of them wear oversized shirts because they just have to wait for hand me down clothes. A few were barefooted as they approached us.

But what amazes me is that they were very well mannered, they quietly waited for their turn. Nobody pushed or cheated the line. With a simple smile they say Salamat Ma'am or thank you ma'am. Some of them looks at you with amusement in their eyes, as if we were celebrities or government officials giving them something.

Handing them under the sun didn't really made me tired. My head was preoccupied thinking if we can accommodate all of them. My heart was really filled with joy receiving sweet thank you from the children's parents.

It was another day of fulfillment, but still it breaks my heart that I couldn't give them all. There were some very little kids we couldn't give slippers because they were not able to have their names listed. But I still do hope that the next time I come back we can give them.

Let kindness rule in our hearts, sharing can sometimes be hard specially when you only have enough but when you give it with love the value never matters.

Special thanks to steemcurator01, @steemsea, @el-nailul for supporting my simple charity. May you be blessed more.
