Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem (ex. Umbra) is a dynamic RPG in the style of hack n slash based on Cry Engine 3 and spontaneous generation of locations. On Kickstarter, the project raised more than four hundred thousand dollars, which turned out to be one and a half times the required amount, so the developers' plans included interesting options: a global rating, character customization and realistic AI on the Kythera platform. Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem has lost 99% of its active players in just three months since its release. The game was released on February 13 and attracted 127,542 simultaneous players at the peak, breaking the Path of Exile record on Steam. But already in March this number was reduced to half. Now, on average over the last 30 days, according to Steam Charts, there are only 1,000 players online at a time. Several factors: poor optimization, a large number of bugs and errors, which sometimes did not even allow to reach the finals. Users had connection problems, lost items and even characters.

The Gameplay In the first place important in any clone of Diablo. In some places, the developers have managed to present the usual diablo formula in a new way, but the basis is still the same. We move along wide corridors, click to death tons of enemies, collect loot, sell it in the city and continue the crusade.
Usually in hack'n'slash games, the plot is pushed to the background. But in Wolcen, the authors worked hard ...
Setting is reminiscent of a classic dark fantasy in the spirit of Warhammer laik, with unbelievably large armor, disgusting monsters and, of course, wild pathos....
