Solar Power Systems: Important facts you may know
Hi everyone,
Welcome you all to @dulip's blog.My beautiful country #SriLanka located in between latitudes 6"and 10" N and longitudes 79" and 82° E that means near to the equator. So that according to my knowledge solar power is the most suitable for our country. When we consider about our past history based on the solar system and the solar power. Have you ever heard about the king Ravana. Some people say it was an imagination anyhow according to the history stories his kingdom was based on the solar power system.. My story is not about the king Ravana so that we will turn to the direction.
As I told you our country has more than enough sunlight during whole year, but unfortunately we use only 1% from the solar energy. If we can make a revolution and promote the solar energy then we will be able to gain so many benefits than the other energy sources. As an example consider about the fossil fuels; if we get electricity from natural gas or coal then the result will be some kind of Carbondioxide, Carbonmonoxide or so on.. the above mentioned gases drives to the global warming and also air pollution as well. When we use these fossil fuel for long durations some changes happen to the environmental equilibrium, so that we have to shift pure energy from the sun. So my friends this is a simple introduction giving the very basic idea about the solar energy sytem and its benefits. Come with me let’s discover. ….
What is a solar panel and its’ operation.
The most popular type photovoltaic cells or PV cells are made out of thin films of Silicon crystalline and they act as P type and N type semiconductors and the photons will attack to the depletion layer of the PN and emit electrons. That means an electron flow will produce, or current. So that I think you can get the basic concept of the solar cell from my article.

Yes, it looks like Sri Lanka is paying more attention on hydro and thermal power than renewable energy resources such as wind and sloar powers which can be gained easily while countries like China which isn't located near the equator shines on the top in the list of countries which use solar power the most.
This is actually a good topic which should be gained the attention of relevant authorities.

Actually now a days peoples are more interest to the solar power and government also make solution for deduct some money if you provide powder for the main line.
But initial cost is too much expensive and still peoples doubt the durability of pannel boad.

I think the initial cost is only the problem because high quality products are durable. So if we can invest on this it will be a great investment..

The existing government and the past government have taken necessary initiatives to develop this field and I have seen that it has become a trend among the domestic crowd and all are keen to place a unit on their roof.
Moreover, I have seen there are many mega scale projects coming to the sector. I am happy to see that it rapidly.

I think the main reason to less popularity of solar panels will be the initial cost that has to spend on it. But I think that by installing a solar panel will be a good money saving method. Also you can have an extra income by giving energy to the main grid of the electricity board.

Solar will be one solution for the increasing need of power usage.. but sustainability over the years is the issue as it has environmental impact once the panels life span ended.
